Council Minutes of 3/19/85 -6- <br />LEGISLATION (cont'd): <br />Resolution No. 85-32 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its first reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for various <br />motor oils and lubricants for use by the Service Department Garage, and authorizing <br />the Mayor to contract for same, and declaring an emergency. Referred to Finance <br />Committee. <br />Under Old Business: <br />Mrs. Petrigac asked if funding for the purchase of new police cars was in the budget <br />since after March 20th the only manufacturer open for bids .would be the Ford Motor <br />Company and even this will only be available through April 15th. Mr. tdilamosky <br />advised that there is one line item in the area of Federal Revenue Sharing listed <br />as Capital Improvement in the amount of $232,000 which has not specifically been <br />detailed for the utilization of those dollars. However, the answer is "no"; <br />within the recommendations there are no specific recommendations relating to the <br />funding of the police cars or the rescue squad chassis. This will be discussed at <br />the Finance Committee meeting on Thursday. Will probably be looking at a note <br />issuance for the safety equipment. <br />Mrs. Petrigac thanked the Mayor for seeing to the installation of the railing at the <br />handicapped ramp in front o.f City Ha11. Mr. Bierman suggested that another parking <br />lot light, in the middle of the parking lot, would enable motorists to see the <br />railing a little better; Mayor responded that this was not a bad idea. <br />Mr. Tallon reminded the Mayor that at the last meeting he had asked about changing <br />the locks on the side door or furnishing. Council with keys to the old ones. Mayor <br />responded that he had placed a call with the. contractor; had scheduled a meeting for <br />yesterday but it did not work out; hope to have something on this soon. <br />Under New Business: <br />Mrs. Petrigac scheduled a Recreation Committee Meeting for March 26th at 7 P.M. <br />Also, asked the Mayor to look into the possibility of getting up-dated, aerial views <br />of the City. <br />Mr. O'Grady scheduled a Safety Committee Meeting for March 26th, 6:30 P.M., to dis- <br />cuss the demolition of buildings, Ordinance No. 85-21 through 85-23 and also review <br />the video ID Program. <br />Mr. Tallon scheduled a BZD Committee Meeting for March 28th, at 7:30 P.M. <br />There being no further business, President Boehmer adjourned the Council Meeting at <br />9:30 P.M. <br />_~ ~ ~ ~~ <br />~...~ <br />Florence E.
