<br />Council Minutes of 2/19/85 <br />-5- <br />LEGISLATION (cont'd): <br />Ordinance No. 85-14 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance establishing and fixing the compensation for the Mayor, City of Borth <br />Olmsted, for the term of office commencing January 1, 1986, and ending December 31, <br />19$9, and declaring an emergency. Referred to Finance Committee. <br />Ordinance No. 85-15 introduced by Mr. Tilamosky was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance establishing and fixing the compensation for the Director of Law of the <br />City of North Olmsted for the term of office commencing January 1, 1986, and ending <br />December 31, 1989, and declaring an emergency. Referred to Finance Committee. <br />Ordinance No. 85-16 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance establishing and fixing the compensation for the Director of Finance of <br />the City of North Olmsted for the term of office commencing January 1, 1986, and <br />ending December 31, 1.989, and declaring an emergency. Referred to Finance Committee. <br />Ordinance No. 85-17 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance establishing and fixing the compensation of the President of Council of <br />the City of North Olmsted for the term of office commencing January 1, 1986, and <br />ending December 31, 1989, and declaring an emergency. Referred to Finance Committee. <br />Ordinance No. 85-18 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance establishing and fixing the compensation for the ?lard Council Members of <br />the City of North Olmsted for the term of office commencing January 1, 1986, and <br />ending December 31, 1989, and declaring an emergency. Referred to Finance Committee. <br />Under Old Business: <br />Mr. ?dilamosky requested that the legislation covering the salaries for elected <br />officials be discussed later this evening, at the Council as a Whole Committee <br />meeting. <br />Mr. Rademaker thanked City Engineer Schaller for the correspondence he initiated <br />with the Ohio Department of Transportation in seeking a solution to the hazardous <br />conditions on 1480 due to ice and snow. <br />Under New Business: <br />Mrs. Petrigac noted that a new office is being built in the Administrative wing of <br />City Hall; what line item is the material being charged to? Mayor replied it is <br />being charged to "City Hall Maintenance". <br />Mr. Rademaker asked what could be done so that residents would be directed to the <br />proper board or commission and not wind up having to appear at various meetings, <br />possibly two or three different times, before they were finally heard by the <br />proper board or commission. Who is responsible for directing them? Mayor Swietyniowski <br />advised that generally they appear at City Hall and are advised by the Building <br />Department or engineering Department. After presenting their proposal or plan to <br />these departments, they are directed on how to proceed further. <br />Mr. Tallon commented on the RTA year in review report; noticed that RTA had received <br />77 new metro buses and five of them were to go to the Maple Heights/North Olmsted <br />Bus Line. How many did North Olmsted receive? Service Director Corrigan advised that <br />North Olmsted had received three brand new buses as of August, 1984. Mr. Tallon <br />said they were also expecting new buses in 1985; would North Olmsted get any of <br />these? Mayor advised that he could not say at this point. <br /> <br />
