Ordinance no. 85-3 <br />adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 85-4 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance declaring purpose of restrictions on transfer of $590,000 City of North <br />Olmsted, Ohio, Industrial Development First Mortgage Revenue Bond (?3ryant and <br />Stratton Project) and related documents, waiving such restrictions, consenting to <br />transfer, and declaring an urgency. <br />Ordinance No. 85-5 introduced by Mayor Swietyniowski was given its second reading. <br />An ordinance approving the extension of sanitary sewer services to approximately six <br />(6) acres of land at Fitch Road and Cook Road and consisting of the Olmsted <br />Township Municipal Center and a five (5) acre shopping area located within Olmsted <br />Township. <br />Ordinance No. 85-7 introduced by Mr. Tallon was given its second reading. An ordin- <br />ance amending Section 1202.02 of the Zoning Code entitled "Uses Permitted" of Chapter <br />1201 of the Zoning Code entitled "Area Uses and Standards in Mixed Use Districts <br />A and B", as amended. <br />Resolution No. 85-8 introduced by Mr. Bierman was given its first reading. A <br />resolution urging the State Legislature to enact legislation to control registration <br />of pesticide users. Referred to Legislation Committee. <br />Ordinance No. 85-9 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance authorizing execution of an agreement with Carriage Carpet Company, an <br />Ohio Corporation, whereby the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, agrees to issue industrial <br />development revenue bonds on behalf of Carriage Carpet Company for financing of the <br />construction, installation and equipping of a commercial facility to be located within <br />the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Wilamosky moved <br />for suspension of rule requiring three readings, second by Mr. Bierman, unanimously <br />approved. Mr. Wilamosky moved for adoption, second by Mr. Bierman, unanimously <br />approved. Ordinance No. 85-9 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 85-10 introduced by Mrs. Saringer was given its first reading. A <br />resolution objecting to the proposed rate increase being requested by the Ohio Bell <br />Telephone Company, and declaring an emergency. Referred to Legislation Committee. <br />Under New Business: <br />Mr. Wilamosky spoke on a point of personal privilege with respect to a letter, <br />published in a local newspaper, written by Charles E. Haettich, President of the <br />firefighters' bargaining unit. Mr. Wilamosky refuted Mr. Haettich's charges by <br />stating that when Ordinance No. 84-59, dealing with the PERS Pick-up Program, was <br />introduced on July 3rd, and on September 7th when it was tabled by Council, the <br />firefighters of North Olmsted had not yet requested voluntary recognition as pro- <br />vided for in Section 1417 of the Ohio Revised Code. They did request formal <br />recognition, as provided for under Senate Bill 133, on September 13, 1984, after <br />legislation had been introduced and already tabled by Council.
