Council Minutes of .92/86
-8-
Miscellaneous business (cont'd):
Mr. Lackey asked Mayor Petrigac if she had heard anything further with respect
to the water line that Cleveland Water Department was to install on Porter Road;
they were supposed to let North Olmsted know in July whether they were going to
bring their line up through there. Mayor Petrigac responded that Cleveland Water
Department did send the city a letter confirming this; the administration did not
like the wordage -felt it was too non-committal. Mayor again wrote to them and
they again responded with their assurances. Will certainly keep council advised
since this is a h igh priority item with her.
Mr. O'Grady reminded the Mayor that he had asked to have the Safety Director look
into a feasibility study with ODOT regarding the traffic signal for West 231st and
Lorain Road; he was thinking in terms of relocation; has any progress been made on
this? Mayor responded that there had been some dialogue but no determination had
been made.
President Woerpel announced that a Public Hearing would be held on Tuesday,
September 16, 1986, at 7:00 P.M., on Ordinance No. 86-66, which provides for the
amendment of the Zone Map by changing the premises hereinafter described from
Single Residence A District to Mixed-Use District; public is invited.
President Woerpel thanked Mrs. Davis for providing copies of the survey taken
at Homecoming this year and would encourage all committees of council to look
at the building, zoning and development in the city to see if any changes were
necessary; any changes needed in the charter and perhaps spend some time in
reviewing the city ordinances to see if they need to be tightened up.
The agenda being completed and there being no further business to come before
council, President Woerpel adjourned the council meeting at 10:00 P.M.
lorence E. Campbell, C1e of Council

Dwayne R oerpel, Presi n of Council
