Council Minutes of 9/2/86 _7_ <br />LEGISLATION (cont'd): <br />Ordinance No. 86-81 introduced by Mr. O'Grady was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance to enact new Section 529.10, entitled, "Warning Signs", of Chapter <br />529 entitled, "Liquor Control", of .the General Offenses Code of the City of <br />North Olmsted, pertaining to a sign warning against consuming alcoholic beverages <br />during pregnancy. <br />Ordinance No. 86-82 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance to make and transfer appropriations for current expenses and other <br />expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 1986. <br />Ordinance No. 86-83 introduced by Mrs. Saringer was given .its first reading. An <br />ordinance vacating a portion of a sanitary sewer easement located on property <br />occupied by the Great Northern Shopping Center and further accepting an easement <br />from the Great Northern Shopping Center for a relocated sanitary sewer, and de- <br />claring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 86-84 introduced by Mrs. Saringer was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance accepting an easement for the installation and maintenance of a water <br />line for the purpose of supplying water service by the City of Cleveland to land <br />owned by the Great Northern Shopping Center Partnership, and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />Mayor Petrigac requested council to recess for a brief period in order to dis- <br />cuss Ordinance No. 86-76; unless this legislation is passed under suspension of <br />rule requiring three readings this evening, there will not be sufficient funds <br />to meet the next payroll requirements. President Woerpel recessed council for <br />five minutes. <br />Upon reconvening Mr. Wilamosky moved to amend Ordinance No. 86-76: Section 1, <br />strike out Police Department, Station Maintenance, and the dollars reflected in <br />its entirety, allowing "Safety Director and Safety Director's secretary" and <br />the dollar amounts reflected to remain; also, under Service Department, Con- <br />tingency, Column "Decrease" strike the $1,700 and insert $600; under Column <br />"Revised" strike $5,300 and insert $6,400; change total under Column "Decrease" <br />from $10,515 to read $9,415 and under Column "Increase" $9,415; bottom <br />grand total to read. $9,915, second by Mr. Tallon, unanimously approved. Mr. <br />Wilamosky moved for suspension of rule requiring three readings, second by <br />Mr. Tallon, unanimously approved. Mr. Wilamosky moved for adoption, second by <br />Mr. Tallon, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 86-76 adopted, as amended. <br />Miscellaneous business: <br />Mayor Petrigac advised council that tomorrow, Safety Director Becker, Police Chief <br />Marsh and she would be attending a meeting to accept a special citation for <br />outstanding pedestrian programs activities which is being awarded to the North <br />Olmsted Police Department. <br />Mr. O'Grady announced that a meeting would be held on Thursday, September 4th, <br />at 7:30 P.M., with respect to the Child Registry Fair; also, scheduled a Safety <br />Committee meeting for Thursday, September 4th at 7:00 P.M, and requested the <br />Finance Committee Chairman to be in attendance. Safety Committee will be re- <br />viewing the "no right turn on red" signs for Silverdale/Selhurst; a request for <br />signs on the fire hydrant side of Forestwood, Parkway and Dogwood Trails; letter <br />from Chief VanKuren with respect to vehicle maintenance and letter with respect <br />to the 1986 budget. <br /> <br />
