<br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL
<br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED
<br />JULY 1, 1986
<br />
<br />Present: President Dwayne Woerpel, Councilmen. Lackey, McKay, O'Grady,
<br />Rademaker, Saringer, Tallon, Wilamosky.
<br />Also present: Mayor Yvonne Petrigac, Law Director Michael. Gareau, Finance
<br />Director Edward Boyle, Clerk of Council Florence Campbell.
<br />Meeting was called to order by President Woerpel at 8:10 P.M., in Council Chambers,
<br />5200 Dover Center Road.
<br />Members of the audience were invited to join Members of Council in reciting the
<br />Pledge of Allegiance.
<br />Minutes of the Council Meeting of June 17, 1986, were approved.
<br />President Woerpel announced: 1) Ordinance No. 86-49, accepting for dedication the
<br />Timber Trails Subdivision, has been removed from the agenda pending completion of
<br />all improvements.
<br />2) Ordinance No. 86-50, establishing the complement and compensation for the Parks
<br />and Recreation Department has been amended and therefore goes back on second
<br />reading tonight; rule requiring three readings will be suspended and ordinance
<br />will be passed this evening.
<br />3) Ordinance No. 86-57 has been amended, prior to its reading, and will remain on
<br />first reading.
<br />4) Resolution No. 86-61, authorizing the Service Director to advertise for bids
<br />for various motor oils, lubricants and fuels, has been added to the agenda.
<br />5) Would remind everyone that a Public Hearing will be held on Resolution No. 86-56,
<br />the adoption of the budget for fiscal year 1987, on Tuesday, July 15th, at 7:.15 P.M.
<br />Later the same evening, a Public Hearing will be held, at 8 P.M., on the issuance of
<br />$650,000 Economic Development Revenue Bonds. There will also be a Public Hearing
<br />on Tuesday, July 8th, at 7:30 P.M., at Old Town Hall, for the Community Development
<br />Block Grant Program.
<br />Mayor Petrigac reported: 1) Administration met with Mr. Robert Monshien., Sunrise
<br />Development Corporation, in regard to the RTA turn-around at the western end of
<br />the city. The land utilized for .the buses to turn around is no longer .available
<br />to the city. Since the administration had to act quickly, and realizing .that the
<br />best parcel of land would be at the entrance to the Industrial Park, Mr. Monshien
<br />agreed to meet with the administration to discuss this issue, He has agreed to
<br />allow the city to utilize this property, on a temporary basis; Law Director will
<br />draft a contract within the next week to accomplish this.
<br />2) The administration also discussed the entire Lndustrial Park with Mr, Monshien.
<br />The city is ready to move; Sunrise Development Corporation is ready to move;
<br />however unless the water supply to the west end. of town. is improued, Mayor petri~;ac
<br />does not want to proceed at the expense of the west end residents .where the water
<br />pressure is presently very low.
<br />3) The administration also met with Mr. Sidroni, consulting engineer for the Cleve-
<br />land Water Department, and Mr. Hughes, a homeowner in the Josephine Drive area..
<br />Mr. Sidroni was advised that residents at the west end of town need an increase in
<br />water pressure; until this pressure is increased to serve the needs of the residents
<br />in that area, the Industrial Park cannot be developed. Explained that Porter Road
