MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF .THE '.COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />JUNE 17, 1986 <br />Present: President Dwayne Woerpel, Councilmen Lackey, McKay, O'Grady, <br />Rademaker, Saringer, Ta11on, Wilamosky. <br />Also present: Mayor Yvonne Petrigac, Law Director Michael Gareau, Finance <br />Director Edward Boyle, Clerk of Council Florence Campbell. <br />Meeting was called to order by President Woerpel at 8:30 P.M., in Council Chambers, <br />5200 Dover Center Road. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Members of Council in reciting the <br />Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Minutes of the Council Meeting of June 3, 1986, were approved. <br />Mrs. Saringer moved council amend the agenda to allow several people from the <br />North Olmsted Scouting Organization to be recognized at this time, second by <br />Mr. Tallon, unanimously approved. <br />President Woerpel announced that at the last regular council meeting, Resolution <br />No. 86-51 commending the achievement of Mark E. Frazier in attaining the highest <br />award in scouting, that of Eagle Scout, was passed by council. Since Mark was <br />not in attendance at that meeting, President Woerpel now presented a copy of <br />the resolution and congratulated Eagle Scout Frazier who received the recognition <br />and congratulations of the entire council, the administration and members of the <br />audience. <br />Dave Dillon and Karen Novak were then recognized by President Woerpel; as members <br />of the All Scouts Weekend Com;nittee, they expressed their appreciation for the <br />participation of council and the administration in the All Scouts Weekend festivi- <br />ties. They particularly thanked the Service Department for the fine cleanup job <br />that was needed due to vandalization at the park the night before the events took <br />place. <br />President Woerpel announced the following changes to the evening's agenda.: 1) <br />Ordinance No. 86-45, establishing an Admissions Tax, has been removed for further <br />study; Ordinance No. $6-46 has been amended and placed back on second reading; <br />Ordinance Nos. 86-36 and 86-42 have been added to the agenda and will be on <br />second reading also; two new pieces of legislation, Ordinance Nos. $6-54 and <br />86-55 have been added tonight and will go on first reading. <br />2) Mr. Woerpel also apologized for the late start of tonight's meeting, which <br />was due to the number of items either added or deleted from tonight's agenda. <br />Mayor Petrigac reported: 1) Has received many calls and letters complimenting <br />the administration on the City Magazine; would like to thank Bud Becker, Admini- <br />strative Assistant, for the outstanding contribution he made to this project. <br />If anyone in the city did not receive an issue, and therefore could not avail <br />themself of the Sunday free swim, please contact City Hall and receive a free <br />swim pass. <br />
