Council Minutes of 6/17/86
-5-
Audience participation (cont'd):
~~. Mrs. Margaret McKay, 5197 Columbia Road, reported an attempted swindle of $900
from her 75 year old aunt in Lakewood. Luckily she suspected something was
wrong and deposited the money in another bank and did not turn it over to the
phony "bank examiner". Would like the news media to remind senior citizens,
especially women living alone, to be wary of such attempted hoaxes.
Eleanor Slys, 4789 Columbia Road, reported that Jamestown Condominiums have be-
come an easy target for criminals with two rapes and a robbery in this complex.
Told of many troublesome incidents with the management at this condo.
