Council Minutes of 5/20/86 <br />-7- <br />LEGISLATION (cont'd): <br />Ordinance No. 86-37 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its second reading. An <br />emergency ordinance enacted by the City of North Olmsted, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, <br />in matter of the hereinafter described improvement and requests the cooperation <br />of the County of Cuyahoga and the Department of Transportation, State of Ohio, <br />for the repair and resurfacing of Lewis Road Bridge No. 21 over the west branch <br />of the Rocky River. <br />Ordinance No. 86-38 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its second reading. <br />An ordinance to make appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures <br />for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 1986. <br />Ordinance No. 86-41 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its second reading. <br />An ordinance to transfer appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures <br />for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 19$6. <br />Ordinance No. 86-42 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance establishing the organization and composition of the non-uniform personnel <br />of the Police Department, together with salaries and various benefits for said <br />employees, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 86-43 introduced by Mr. Lackey was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance amending Section 165.03 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of <br />North Olmsted entitled, "Landmarks Commission: Creation Composition and Terms", <br />and the creation of anew Section 165.06 entitled, "Designation of Landmarks <br />District", both of Chapter 165 entitled, "Landmarks Commission". Referred to <br />Intra-Governmental and Legislation Committee. <br />Ordinance No. 86-44 introduced by Mr. Tallon was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance amending Chapter 729 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North <br />Olmsted entitled, "Self-Service Auto Wash", by adding thereto a new Section 729.06 <br />entitled, "Coin Changers Required". Referred to Building, Zoning and Development <br />Committee. <br />Ordinance No. 86-45 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance establishing a new Chapter 747 entitled, "Admissions Tax", of Part 7 of <br />the Codified Ordinances entitled, "Business Regulation Code". Referred to <br />Finance Committee. <br />Ordinance No. 86-46 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance to make and transfer appropriations for current expenses and other <br />expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 1986. <br />Referred to Finance Committee. <br />Miscellaneous Business: <br />Mr. Wilamosky reported that he has a box of detergent, purchased locally, which <br />has a higher phosphate percentage than is allowed by city ordinance. Would like <br />the administration to look into it. Mayor responded that a recent survey of <br />stores has just been completed and several supermarkets and two chain stores were <br />found to be in violation; letters have been sent to the violators. <br />Mr. Lackey scheduled a Legislative Committee Meeting for 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, May <br />27th, to consider Ordinance No. 86-43. Also, thanked the North Olmsted Jaycees <br />who, in conjunction with the Recreation Department, helped construct some picnic <br />tables that were badly needed in the city. <br />
