Council Minutes of 5/20/8.6 <br />-6- <br />Audience participation (cont'd): <br />Annette Gardner, 24175 Maria Lane, stated that Maria Lane is badly in need <br />of resurfacing; when will this street be repaired? .Councilman O'Grady re- <br />plied that Maria Lane is in his ward and he has received numerous complaints <br />about it; agrees it is a bad street that seems to buckle every year. Council- <br />man McKay reported that there is no money for street resurfacing; the-only <br />work being done this year is on pot holes and such. <br />Tony Kohlnar, 5284 Dover Center Road, asked when the buffer zone between City <br />Hall and his property would be established; what is the status of the land- <br />scaping and finishing of the parking lot. Mayor Petrigac reported that she <br />and the Service Director had just met recently with the landscaper and hope to <br />start the planned project; invited Mr. Kohlnar to come to City Hall, at his <br />convenience, and give some input into this beautification program. <br />LEGISLATION: <br />Ordinance No. 86-27 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its third reading. <br />An ordinance to transfer funds for current expenses and other expenditures for <br />the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 1986. Mr. Wilamosky <br />moved to remove Ordinance No. 86-27 from the agenda and place it back into <br />committee until the Senior Advisory Board has completed its reorganization, <br />second by Mr. Tallon. Roll call on motion: Affirmative vote: Lackey, O'Grady, <br />Saringer, Tallon, Wilamosky. Negative vote: McKay, Rademaker. 5 Aye - 2 Nay - <br />Motion carried. Ordinance No. 86-27 referred back to Finance Committee. <br />Ordinance No. 86-29 introduced by Councilmen Tallon, Rademaker and Lackey was <br />given its third reading. An ordinance establishing the method by which fees <br />for the use of the facilities of the Recreation Department are to be fixed, and <br />repealing Ordinance No. 84-56, and declaring an emergency, as amended. Mr. <br />Tallon moved for adoption, second by Mr. Wilamosky, unanimously approved. <br />Ordinance No. 86-29 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 86-32 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its third reading. <br />A resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids <br />for 10,000 gallons of polymer for use by the North Olmsted Wastewater Treatment <br />Facilities Plant, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Wilamosky moved for adoption, <br />second by Mr. McKay, unanimously approved. Resolution No. 86-32 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 86-33 introduced by Mr. O'Grady was given its third reading. A <br />resolution approving the final County-wide 911 Plan. Mr. O'Grady moved for <br />adoption, second by Mr. Tallon. Roll call on motion: Affirmative vote: Lackey, <br />McKay, O'Grady, Rademaker, Tallon. Negative vote: Saringer, Wilamosky. 5 Aye - <br />2 Nay - Motion carried. Resolution No. 86-33 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 86-34 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its third reading. <br />An ordinance establishing a new Chapter 745 entitled, "Hotel and Motel Tax", <br />of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted. Mr. Wilamosky moved <br />for adoption, second by Mr. Rademaker. Affirmative vote: Rademaker. Negative <br />vote: Lackey, McKay, O'Grady, Saringer, Tallon, Wilamosky. 1 Aye - 6 Nay - <br />Motion defeated. Ordinance No. 86-34 not adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 86-36 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its second reading. <br />An ordinance establishing rates of compensation for various administrative and <br />legislative personnel, and declaring an emergency, as amended. <br />rte,:. ~~~:~;., <br />
