Council Minutes of 5/7./86 -4- <br />c. Galati Auto Service Center, 27539 Lorain Road, special <br />permit granted by Zoning Board of Appeals, which also needs council's approval. <br />Besides the stipulations mentioned in the minutes of the April 10th meeting of <br />the Zoning Board of Appeals, BZD Committee recommends that .parking be limited <br />to fifteen parking spaces in the front of the building and ten parking spaces in <br />the waiting area; also that a five foot buffer of grass be planted and maintained <br />along the fence. Councilman McKay and Councilman Wilamosky expressed their con- <br />cern that Mr. Galati would continue to ignore the city's codes since he has been <br />in continual violation in the past. Mayor Petrigac was concerned with the <br />stockade board-on-board fence enclosure being large enough to hold ten cars. <br />Council requested the Building Department to keep a constant surveillance and <br />move immediately on any violations by this owner. Mrs. Saringer moved council <br />approve the special permit granted by Zoning Board of Appeals with the stipu- <br />lations spec if ied in the various minutes and in the BZD Committee report, <br />second by Mr. Tallon. Roll Gall on motion: Affirmative vote: Lackey, O'Grady, <br />Saringer, Tallon. Negative vote: McKay, Wilamosky. 4 Aye - 2 Nay - Motion carried. <br />d. Kenny King's Restaurant, 27899 Lorain Road. Committee asked <br />that this proposal be continued at the next BZD Committee Meeting. <br />e. Fretter's Incorporated, southwest corner of Sparky Lane and <br />Brookpark Extension. Proposal approved by ARB and Planning Commission.. BZD <br />Committee has no objection but does recommend that the drive on Sparky Lane be <br />a directional drive, exit only, and that a "Do Not Enter" sign be posted; also <br />to include sidewalks around the perimeter of the property and landscaping for <br />the directional drive be relocated. Mrs. Saringer moved council approve the <br />Fretter proposal as stated above, second bq Mr. Tallon, .unanimously approved. <br />f. Rad Air Systems Corporation, 24260 Lorain. Road, exterior <br />alteration of existing building. Approved by ARB and planning Commission as <br />well as BZD Committee. Mrs. Saringer moved for approval of Rad Air Systems <br />alteration with recommendations previously discussed by .the boards and commissions, <br />second by Mr. O'Grady, unanimously approved. <br />Letters and Communications: <br />Clerk of Council reported receipt of a petition signed by eighty-nine residents <br />objecting to the proposal by Biskind Development Company for commercial <br />development of the north side of Brookpark Road, laetween Great Northern. Boulevard <br />and Columbia Road. President Woerpel noted that this petition had also been pre- <br />sented to the Planning Commission. <br />LEGISLATION: <br />Ordinance No. 86-30 introduced by Mr. Tallon. was given. its .third reading. An <br />ordinance amending the Traffic Control Map and File of .the City of North Olmsted <br />to provide a "no right turn on red" sign at ,the intersection of Brookpark Ex- <br />tension and Dover Center Road, thereby controlling traffic traveling in a westerly <br />directon making right turns onto Dover Center Road, anal declaring. an.et~ergency. <br />Mr. Tallon moved for adoption., second by Mr. McKay, unanimously approved. Ordin- <br />ance No. 86-30 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 86-29 introduced by Councilman Tallon, Rademaker and Lackey was <br />given. its second reading.
