Council Minutes of 5/7/86 -~-
Mayor Petrigac asked if anything had been done yet with respect to the in-
~' scription for the Korean and Vietnam memorial stones; it. was hoped that
this would be accomplished by Memorial Day. Mr. Tallon, Chairman of the
Memorial Committee, advised that they looked at an inscription at the high
school but it was the wrong one. Wi11 therefore schedule a meeting of the
Memorial Committee for May 15, 1986, at 7:30 P.M.
Mr. Lackey complemented Police Officer Clute and the North Olmsted paramedics,
who responded to a freak accident on Burns Road, for their outstanding handling
of the situation. Also, thanked Public Works Commissioner, Craig Gorsuch, for
his prompt handling of a request to have caution signs erected in this neigh-
borhood. Would .like to bring to the attention of all residents that the
city has an excellent Safety Town Program, under the direction of Officer Novak.
Parents may enroll their children at the Folice Station now since the en-
rollment at the Rec Complex has been completed. Would urge all motorists to
be especially watchful when they see children near or on the streets of the city.
Mr. Wilamosky asked what the administration's expectations are with resolving
problems with the culvert south of the existing, repaired culvert on McKenzie
Road. Secondly, is there any truth to the rumors with respect to cost over-
runs in the Olmsted Colony Project.
Mayor Petrigac replied that she is .totally unaware of any cost over-runs; will
investigate the project and if there are any over-runs will get back to Mr.
Wilamosky.
President Woerpel reminded council of the May 14th.meeting with Westlake city
officials.
Mr. McKay moved to excuse .the. absence of Councilman Rademaker, second by
Mr. Tallon, unanimously approved.
:~
The agenda being completed and there being no further business, President Woerpel
adjourned the council meeting at 9:35 P.M.
/~•
orence E.
