r Council Minutes of 4/15/86 -6- LEGISLATION (cont'd): Ordinance No. 86-34 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its first reading. An ordinance establishing a new Chapter 745 entitled, "Hotel and Motel Tax" of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted. Referred to Finance Committee. Ordinance No. 86-35 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its first reading. An ordinance to transfer funds for current expenses for tree stump grinding for the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, and declaring an emergency. Mr. McKay moved for suspension of rule requiring three readings as well as referral to committee, second by Mr. Wilamosky, unanimously approved. Mr. McKay moved for adoption, second by Mr. Wilamosky, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 86-35 adopted. Miscellaneous Business: 24r. McKay reported some calls with respect to new State Route 252 street lighting plans, from Butternut Ridge Road down to the cemetery; City Engineer advised this must be addressed by the Safety Department; would the Mayor please investigate? Mayor Petrigac responded that she would check into this and forward the informa- tion to Mr. McKay. Mr. Wilamosky asked if Great Northern Boulevard, north from 1480 to Lorain Road, currently being used as State Route 252, had been journalized by the State of Ohio so that the City of North Olmsted would be relieved of the bulk of the responsibility with respect to maintenance of this section which is now a state highway. Mayor Petrigac stated that this issue had been discussed; did not recall what the final resolution was; will forward a written report to Mr. Wilamosky. Mr. Lackey commended the administration, particularly the safety forces, for handling the Great Gas Giveaway event in such an outstanding manner. Particularly thanked Mr. Scott Kacirek of the Marathon Station for donating money to the North Olmsted Recreation Complex. Mayor Petrigac announced that a proclamation will be given to the Knights of Columbus recognizing their Mental Retardation Project. President Woerpel announced that because Tuesday, May 6th is Primary Election Day, the next regular Council Meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 7th, at 8 P.M. The agenda being completed and there being no further business, President Woerpel adjourned the council meeting at 9:35 P.M. .~ Florence E.
