<br />r <br />Council Minutes of 4/15/86 <br />-6- <br />LEGISLATION (cont'd): <br />Ordinance No. 86-34 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its first reading. <br />An ordinance establishing a new Chapter 745 entitled, "Hotel and Motel Tax" <br />of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted. Referred to Finance <br />Committee. <br />Ordinance No. 86-35 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance to transfer funds for current expenses for tree stump grinding for <br />the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, and declaring an emergency. Mr. McKay moved <br />for suspension of rule requiring three readings as well as referral to committee, <br />second by Mr. Wilamosky, unanimously approved. Mr. McKay moved for adoption, <br />second by Mr. Wilamosky, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 86-35 adopted. <br />Miscellaneous Business: <br />24r. McKay reported some calls with respect to new State Route 252 street lighting <br />plans, from Butternut Ridge Road down to the cemetery; City Engineer advised this <br />must be addressed by the Safety Department; would the Mayor please investigate? <br />Mayor Petrigac responded that she would check into this and forward the informa- <br />tion to Mr. McKay. <br />Mr. Wilamosky asked if Great Northern Boulevard, north from 1480 to Lorain Road, <br />currently being used as State Route 252, had been journalized by the State of <br />Ohio so that the City of North Olmsted would be relieved of the bulk of the <br />responsibility with respect to maintenance of this section which is now a <br />state highway. Mayor Petrigac stated that this issue had been discussed; did <br />not recall what the final resolution was; will forward a written report to <br />Mr. Wilamosky. <br />Mr. Lackey commended the administration, particularly the safety forces, for <br />handling the Great Gas Giveaway event in such an outstanding manner. Particularly <br />thanked Mr. Scott Kacirek of the Marathon Station for donating money to the North <br />Olmsted Recreation Complex. <br />Mayor Petrigac announced that a proclamation will be given to the Knights of <br />Columbus recognizing their Mental Retardation Project. <br /> <br />President Woerpel announced that because Tuesday, May 6th is Primary Election Day, <br />the next regular Council Meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 7th, at 8 P.M. <br />The agenda being completed and there being no further business, President Woerpel <br />adjourned the council meeting at 9:35 P.M. <br />.~ <br />Florence E.
