i ~. ~ <br />Council Minutes of 3/18/86 -6- <br />Miscellaneous Business: <br />Mrs. Saringer scheduled a BZD Committee Meeting for March 20th at 8 <br />discuss and review the Zoning Code of the City of North Olmsted and <br />the Law Director to be in attendance. The next regular meeting of <br />Committee, with regular agenda, will be on April 3rd at 7:30 P.M. <br />P.M to <br />requested <br />the BZD <br />Mr. McKay reported an incident on Elm Road last Friday about 4 o'clock where <br />an attempt was made to force two young boys into a red Buick. Would ask anyone <br />witnessing such a thing to contact the Police Department immediately. In this <br />case, there was some confusion and the police did not arrive immediately. <br />Mr. McKay would like to establish a Block Watch Program in the Danbury area. <br />Will help anyone get this type of program established in any part of the city. <br />Please call Mr. McKay if you would like help in establishing such a program in <br />your area. <br />Mr. O'Grady scheduled a Safety Committee Meeting for Wednesday, March 26th, at <br />7:30 P.M., to discuss the 911 emergency number, Ordinance No. 85-39, the stun <br />gun legislation, and will try to do a dry precinct analysis. Would ask the Law <br />Director, Fire and Police Chiefs to be in attendance. <br />Mr. Tallon discussed the problem of snow plows knocking down mail boxes on Dover <br />Center Road. After reconstruction of the road and replacement of tree lawns, <br />the contractor replaced the mail boxes closer to the street, not where he had <br />removed them from. Asked the Mayor to look into the situation and possibly get <br />the mail boxes moved back to their previous position to avoid further trouble. <br />Mr. Tallon also commented on the fact that North Olmsted High School had won the <br />State Championship and would like to see some signage to this effect placed at <br />the major entries to the city; School Board has indicated they would provide a <br />stencil for this purpose. Mayor Petrigac stated that the administration has al- <br />ready been talking about this possibility. North Olmsted is also a "Tree City" <br />and there is an established logo with that; there are plans being discussed now. <br />Mrs. Saringer commented that the Planning Commission will have two meetings next <br />week, on Tuesday and Wednesday, due to a heavy agenda. <br />Mr. Lackey commented that the Recreation Complex has looked much better since the <br />addition of a coat of paint last Fall; commends the people responsible for the <br />excellent care and upkeep they have been giving the Complex lately. <br />Mayor Petrigac stated that pictures from the very successful Inaugural Ball <br />were now available; orders for same should be made now. <br />President Woerpel stated that a program covering the 1986 budget and appropriations <br />would be aired on Channel 6, Wednesday, March 19th, at 7:30 P.M. and on March 20th <br />and 21st at 12:30 P.M. and 7:30 P.M. <br />The agenda being completed and there being no further business, President Woerpel <br />adjourned the Council Meeting at 9:35 P.M. <br />Florence E.
