4 <br />0 <br />Council Minutes of 2/4/86 -6- <br />LEGISLATION (cont'd): <br />Ordinance No. 86-15 introduced by Mr. O'Grady was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance authorizing the sale of surplus personal property owned by the City <br />of North Olmsted and previously used by the Department of Public Services, and <br />declaring an emergency. Referred to Finance Committee. <br />Resolution No. 86-16 introduced by Mrs. Saringer was given its first reading. <br />A resolution supporting the continuance of the Revenue Sharing Program by the <br />Government of the United States of America and the Municipal Corporation of the <br />City of North Olmsted, and declaring an emergency, Mrs. Saringer moved for <br />suspension of rule requiring three readings and referral to committee, second <br />by Mr. Tallon, unanimously approved. Mrs. Saringer moved for adoption, second <br />by Mr. Tallon, unanimously approved. Resolution No. 86-16 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 86-17 introduced by Mr. Tallon was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance amending the Traffic Control Map and File of the City of North Olmsted <br />to establish a No Parking zone at the intersection of Shelley Drive and Defoe <br />Drive, which will encompass the residences number 3946 and 3934 Shelley Drive <br />and 26132 and 26122 Defoe Drive, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Tallon moved <br />for suspension of rule requiring three readings and referral to committee, <br />second by Mr. O'Grady, unanimously approved. Mr. Tallon moved for adoption, <br />second by Mr. O'Grady, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 86-17 adopted. <br />Miscellaneous business: <br />President Woerpel thanked Mayor Petrigac for setting up tonight's meeting <br />with representatives from McDonald and Company to discuss changes in revenue <br />sharing. <br />President Woerpel referred to the November minutes of Board of Building Code <br />Appeals at which time Mr. Puzzietello had suggested changing the ordinance <br />regarding earth stations to keep up with rapidly growing technology, especially <br />in differentiating residential from commercial dishes; requested Mrs. Saringer <br />to discuss this in the BZD Committee to see if something ought to be done. <br />Mayor Petrigac reminded everyone that the van is now located at the Senior <br />Center and all contact should be made there. <br />President Woerpel advised that Public Hearings on Ordinance Nos. 85-137, <br />86-0 and 86-3 would be held at the first council meeting in March, the 4th. <br />President Woerpel also noted that February has been designated "National <br />Community College Month". <br />President Woerpel requested that Chairman Lackey look at the charter requirements <br />with respect to run-off elections in view of the situation this past Fall. Per- <br />haps the Legislation Committee could make some recommendation to Council with <br />respect to cost, modifications or repeal, etc. <br />Mr. McKay moved to excuse the absence of Mr. Wilamosky, second by Mr. Tallon, <br />unanimously approved. <br />The agenda being completed and there being no further business to come before <br />council, President Woerpel adjourned the meeting at 9:00 P.M. <br />Florence E.
