t~ <br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />JANUARY 21, 1986 <br />Present: President Dwayne Woerpel, Councilmen Lackey, McKay, O'Grady, <br />Rademaker, Saringer, Tallon, Wilamosky. <br />Also present: Mayor Yvonne Petrigac, Law Director Michael Gareau, Finance <br />Director Edward Boyle, Clerk of Council Florence Campbell. <br />Meeting was called to order by President Woerpel at 8:10 P.M., in Council <br />Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Members of Council in reciting <br />the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Minutes of the Regular Council Meeting of January 7, 1986, were approved. <br />Minutes of the Special Council Meeting of January 14, 1986, were approved. <br />Minutes of the Special Council Meeting of January 15, 1986, were approved. <br />Minutes of the Special Council Meeting of January 16, 1986, were approved. <br />President Woerpel reported: 1) Resolution No. 86-9, authorizing the Director <br />of Public Safety to advertise for bids for new police cars, and Resolution <br />No. 86-10, urging the Cleveland Water Department to extend a 16-inch water <br />line westward from the Fitch Road supply main to the western end of the city, <br />have been added to tonight's agenda. <br />2) The North Olmsted Ethics Commission held its organizational meeting last <br />night, January 20th, with all members present; congratulated Councilman <br />Dennis Rademaker on being unanimously chosen to serve as Chairman. <br />Mayor Petrigac reported: 1) Recreation Department and North Olmsted Adult <br />Education Program will have a joint booth at Great Northern Mall, Wednesday <br />through Sunday; theme will be "The New and Better You". Extended an invita- <br />tion to everyone to visit the booth. <br />2) The second staff meeting of 1986 was held this morning and Mr. James Love, <br />Love Insurance Company, explained the city's insurance policy to all directors <br />and department heads. <br />3) Today, the Project Team held a meeting at NOACA to draft the request for <br />a proposal to hire a consultant to perform an audit and establish the guide <br />lines under which it would function. <br />4) A questionnaire will be sent to surrounding cities with respect to the 911 <br />emergency line. The city will have to determine whether or not it wants to <br />be a part of this program by the end of March. Mayor will be forwarding more <br />information to Council; there will be a cost to the city. <br />5) In response to Mr, Wilamosky's request at the last meeting with respect to <br />the journalization of Route 252, City Engineer Schaller advises that he has <br />contacted the Ohio Department of Transportation. Since the issue of route <br />designation of relocated 252 and existing Columbia Road appears to be somewhat <br />complicated, Mr. Dennis Knaus of ODOT will review the records as well as the <br />journal entry and forward a summarization of his findings within two weeks. <br />Mr. Wilamosky will be advised upon receipt of this information. <br />
