Council Minutes of 1/7/86 -6- <br />President Woerpel pointed out that the appointments to the Standing <br />Committee of Council were made in compliance with the newly passed Charter <br />Amendment which gave Mr. Rademaker, as a member of the minority party, <br />membership on a committee of his choice. <br />Mr. Wilamosky nominated Mr. Tom O'Grady to serve as President of Council <br />Pro Tem for fiscal year 1986, second by Mr. Tallon, unanimously approved. <br />Mr. Wilamosky nominated Mr. Bill Lackey to serve as Council's Representative <br />on the Landmarks Commission; Ron Wilamosky to serve as Council's Representative <br />on the Cable TV Advisory Commission; Mr. Bill Lackey to Landmarks Commission; <br />Mr. Dennis Rademaker to Parks and Recreation Commission; Janet Saringer and <br />Ron Tallon to the North Olmsted Transportation Study Team; and Ron Wilamosky <br />and Dennis Rademaker to the Ethics Cammission, second by Mrs. Saringer, unani- <br />mously approved. <br />Mr. Wilamosky reported that the State of Ohio has installed State Route 252 <br />signs from 1480 north to Lorain Road. Would ask the Mayor to contact the <br />State and find out if they have journalize3 ghat portion of the state route <br />so the City of North Olmsted can go ahead and lawfully use its state highway <br />funds to make any necessary repairs and share in any capital improvement <br />costs with the state on that portion of the roadway. <br />Mrs. Saringer scheduled a BZD Committee meeting for 7:30 P.M, on Tuesday, <br />January 14th; City Engineer Schaller and Acting Building Commissioner Sanker <br />to be in attendance. <br />Mr. Lackey scheduled a Legislation Committee Meeting for Tuesday, January 14th, <br />at 7 P.M. <br />President Woerpel asked Mr. Lackey to take into his committee a letter from <br />the Vice President of Public Affairs and Information at Cuyahoga Community <br />College with reference to February being National Community College Month. <br />Mrs. Saringer suggested that resolutions commending the public service of <br />Councilman Bierman, Council President Boehmer and Mayor Swietyniowski be <br />drawn up. <br />President Woerpel also referred a letter from City Engineer Schaller to <br />the Transportation Committee with regard to Route 252. <br />President Woerpel commented on the large audience in attendance at this <br />council meeting and expressed the hope that they would continue to participate; <br />wished everyone a joyous, happy, prosperous and successful 1986. <br />The agenda being completed and there being no further business, President Woerpel <br />adjourned the Council Meeting at 9:15 P.M. <br />b• <br />Florence E.
