Council Minutes of 9/15/87 -5-
President Saringer reported on a meeting with Mr. Tsipis, Director of the
Metro Parks, last Friday; Councilmen Tallon, Wilamosky, Bohlmann and Lackey
9iYr were in attendance as well as Law Director Gareau. Feels it was a beneficial
meeting and hopefully Council can pursue some of the things discussed then.
Mr. Wilamosky commented that he had received a call from Arthur Gallagher and
Company relative to a meeting with Budget and Management Director Cunningham
with respect to a Risk Management Program. Discussion ensued with respect
to inviting a number of other municipalities who had expressed an interest
in such a venture to meet with representatives from Arthur Gallagher. It was
felt that discussion at this time is a little premature since some councils
have not had an opportunity to meet and discuss such a program. Since this
had occurred some weeks ago, Mr. Wilamosky asked if the time is right .now to
get some of these twelve other coinunities together. Director Cunningham
stated that he did not believe so; he talked. to them about a week ago and
nothing had changed; they are all sitting and waiting; he has not pressed for
a meeting since North Olmsted has gotten its own insurance costs down. He. did
let them know that North Olmsted was still interested in at least talking with
Arthur Gallagher and Company and the other communities. Perhaps he will have
an answer as to where the other cities standby the next Finance Committee Meeting;
will advise at that time.
Mr. McKay moved to excuse. the absence of Councilman Rademaker, second by Mr.
Lackey, unanimously approved.
The agenda being completed and 'there being no further business, President
Saringer adjourned the Council Meeting at 9:30 P.M.
Florence E. Campbell Clerk of Council

Ja t A. Saringer, Preside of Council
