Council Minutes of 7/7/87 -7- <br />LEGISLATION (cont`d): <br />Ordinance No. 87-74 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance regulating and coordinating the purchasing practices of the City of <br />North Olmsted by requiring the interaction of both the Director of Finance and the <br />Director of Budget and Management as specified within this ordinance, and de- <br />claring an emergency. Mr. Wilamosky moved for suspension of rule requiring three <br />readings as well as referral to committee, second by Mr. O`Grady, unanimously <br />approved. Mr. Wilamosky moved for adoption, second by Mr. Tallon, unanimously <br />approved. Ordinance No. 87-74 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 87-75 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance providing for the submission to .the electors of the City of North Olmsted <br />of a proposed amendment to the Charter of the City of North Olmsted permitting the <br />Mayor to serve on a part-time basis on any Ohio State, County or Regional Board or <br />Commission, and declaring an emergency. Referred to Legislation Committee. <br />Ordinance No. 87-76 introduced by Mr. Tallon was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance creating new Section 1213.06 of the Zoning Code and new Chapter 1721 <br />of the Fire Prevention Code providing design and construction standards for <br />Fire Department vehicle access upon commercial, industrial-and multi-family <br />properties located within the City of North Olmsted, and declaring an emergency. <br />Referred to Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee. <br />Miscellaneous business: <br />Mr. Bohlmann questionedthe municipal income tax and asked whether it was a l~ cap <br />or a 1.757 cap since it had been determined that it was a 17 cap considering <br />$3,000,000. Mayor Petrigac left the council chambers to bring Budget and Manage- <br />ment Director Cunningham back to answer Mr. Bohlmann; she never returned. <br />Finance Director Boyle requested that some of the current agents be invited to <br />attend the Finance Committee Meeting, since he has been named as the collector in <br />Ordinance No. 87-72, the lottery tax ordinance. Would like the minutes to show <br />that he has discussed this with the Finance Committee and everyone shares a con- <br />cern over the vendor and his profit and the whole reason for the lottery to that <br />vendor. Mr. Wilamosky agreed to invite the agents, perhaps even the two gentlemen <br />who addressed council this evening. <br />Mr. Lackey moved to excuse the absence of Mr. Rademaker, second by Mr. Bohlmann, <br />unanimously approved. <br />The agenda being completed and there being no further business, President Saringer <br />adjourned the Council Meeting at 9:55 P.M. <br />~• <br />J et A.
