Council Minutes of 6/16/87 -8- LEGISLATION (cont'd): Ordinance No. 87-59 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its first reading. An ordinance authorizing the Director of Public Safety to purchase four police vehicles to be used by the North Olmsted Police Department on the open market, on an emergency basis, rather than by public bidding, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Wilamosky moved for suspension of rule requiring three readings as well as referral to committee, second by Mr. Tallon, unanimously approved. Mr. Wilamosky moved for adoption, second by Mr. Bohlmann, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 87-59 adopted. Ordinance No. 87-60 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its first reading. An ordinance to amend Section 1501.0101, 1501.0501, 1501.0502, 1501.1302 and 1501.2101 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, in order to increase the municipal income tax rate from 1% to 1-3/4%, and declaring an emergency. Referred to Finance Committee. Resolution No. 87-61 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its first reading. A resolution declaring the necessity of an election on the question of approving the passage of an ordinance to amend Sections 1501.0101, 1501.0501, 1501.0502, 1501.1302 and 1501.2101 of the Codif ied -0rdinances of the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, in order to increase the municipal income tax rate from 1% to 1-3/4%, and declaring an emergency. Referred to Finance Committee. Ordinance No. 87-62 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its first reading. An ordinance to transfer funds from the Trust and Agency Fund to the General Fund for current expenses and other expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 1987. Mr. Wilamosky moved for suspension of rule re- quiring three readings as well as referral to committee, second by Mr. Bohlmann, unanimously approved. Mr. Wilamosky moved for adoption, second by Mr. Tallon, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 87-62 adopted. Ordinance No. 87-63 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its first reading. An ordinance to make appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 1987. Mr. Wilamosky moved for suspension of rule requiring three readings as well as referral to committee, second by Mr. Tallon, unanimously approved. Mr. Wilamosky moved for adoption, second by Mr. Tallon, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 87-63 adopted. Resolution No. 87-64 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its first reading. A resolution adopting the budget of the City of North Olmsted for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 198$, and submitting the same to the County Auditor, and declaring an emergency. Referred to Finance Committee. Miscellaneous business: Mr. Tallon scheduled a BZD Committee Meeting for June 24th at 7:30 P.M., and asked attendance of City Engineer and Acting Building Commissioner. Mr. Rademaker suggested that Chairman Wilamosky think about holding: some Finance Committee Meetings with respect to self-insurance in order to resolve the issue by the end of the year. Mr. Wilamosky stated-that the Law Director's report this evening had brought it to his mind also; will plan to sit down and start discussions soon. President Saringer scheduled a Council-as-a Whole Committee Meeting for June 18th at 7:15 P.M., to meet in executive session.
