Council Minutes of 6/16/87 -8- <br />LEGISLATION (cont'd): <br />Ordinance No. 87-59 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its first reading. <br />An ordinance authorizing the Director of Public Safety to purchase four police <br />vehicles to be used by the North Olmsted Police Department on the open market, <br />on an emergency basis, rather than by public bidding, and declaring an emergency. <br />Mr. Wilamosky moved for suspension of rule requiring three readings as well as <br />referral to committee, second by Mr. Tallon, unanimously approved. Mr. Wilamosky <br />moved for adoption, second by Mr. Bohlmann, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. <br />87-59 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 87-60 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its first reading. <br />An ordinance to amend Section 1501.0101, 1501.0501, 1501.0502, 1501.1302 and <br />1501.2101 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, in <br />order to increase the municipal income tax rate from 1% to 1-3/4%, and declaring <br />an emergency. Referred to Finance Committee. <br />Resolution No. 87-61 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its first reading. <br />A resolution declaring the necessity of an election on the question of approving <br />the passage of an ordinance to amend Sections 1501.0101, 1501.0501, 1501.0502, <br />1501.1302 and 1501.2101 of the Codif ied -0rdinances of the City of North Olmsted, <br />Ohio, in order to increase the municipal income tax rate from 1% to 1-3/4%, <br />and declaring an emergency. An <br />ordinance to transfer funds from the Trust and Agency Fund to the General Fund <br />for current expenses and other expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the <br />year ending December 31, 1987. Mr. Wilamosky moved for suspension of rule re- <br />quiring three readings as well as referral to committee, second by Mr. Bohlmann, <br />unanimously approved. Mr. Wilamosky moved for adoption, second by Mr. Tallon, <br />unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 87-62 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 87-63 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance to make appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures for <br />the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 1987. Mr. Wilamosky <br />moved for suspension of rule requiring three readings as well as referral to <br />committee, second by Mr. Tallon, unanimously approved. Mr. Wilamosky moved for <br />adoption, second by Mr. Tallon, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 87-63 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 87-64 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its first reading. <br />A resolution adopting the budget of the City of North Olmsted for the fiscal <br />year beginning January 1, 198$, and submitting the same to the County Auditor, <br />and declaring an emergency. Referred to Finance Committee. <br />Miscellaneous business: <br />Mr. Tallon scheduled a BZD Committee Meeting for June 24th at 7:30 P.M., and <br />asked attendance of City Engineer and Acting Building Commissioner. <br />Mr. Rademaker suggested that Chairman Wilamosky think about holding: some Finance <br />Committee Meetings with respect to self-insurance in order to resolve the issue <br />by the end of the year. Mr. Wilamosky stated-that the Law Director's report <br />this evening had brought it to his mind also; will plan to sit down and start <br />discussions soon. <br />President Saringer scheduled a Council-as-a Whole Committee Meeting for June 18th <br />at 7:15 P.M., to meet in executive session. <br />
