Council Minutes of 6/16/87 _7_ <br />LEGISLATION (cont'd): <br />Ordinance No. 87-52 introduced by Mr. Tallon was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance to transfer appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures <br />for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 1987. Mr. Tallon <br />explained that whereas the purpose fdr Ordinance No. 87-52 had been accomplished, <br />that being to uphold the integrity of the appropriations for the position of <br />Senior Center Clerk, and that a new clerk had been hired at the appropriate rate, <br />there was no further need for Ordinance No. 87-52. Mayor Petrigac stated an <br />objection to the word, "integrity"; she feels that there was no integrity that <br />came into play. Mr. Tallon moved to table Ordinance No. 87-52, second by Mr. <br />Wilamosky, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 87-52 tabled. <br />Ordinance No. 87-53 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance establishing rates of compensation for various administrative and legis- <br />lative personnel, and declaring an emergency. Referred to Finance Committee. <br />Ordinance No. 87-54 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance to make appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures for <br />the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 1987. An <br />ordinance to transfer appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures <br />for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 1987. An <br />ordinance to make appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures for <br />the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 1987. Mr. Wilamosky <br />moved for suspension of rule requiring three readings as well as referral to <br />committee, second by Mr. O'Grady, unanimously approved. Mr. Wilamosky moved for <br />adoption, second by Mr. O'Grady, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 87-56 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 87-57 introduced by Mr. Bohlmann was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance adopting a new and revised Chapter 1321 of the Codif ied Ordinances en- <br />titled "Permit and Inspection Fees", and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 87-58 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its first reading. <br />An ordinance authorizing the Mayor of the City of North Olmsted to enter into an <br />agreement with the Cuyahoga County Mayors and City Managers Association, to provide <br />for a one time contribution of Five. Hundred Dollars ($500.00) for the purpose of <br />assisting the association in the investigation and analysis of the rate increase <br />proposed by Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company in Case Number 86-2025-EL-AIR <br />presently pending before. the Public Utilities Commission, and declaring an emer- <br />gency. Mr. Wilamosky moved for suspension of rule requiring three readings as well <br />as referral to committee, second by Mr. Bohlmann. Ro11 call on motion: Affirmative <br />vote: Bohlmann, Lackey, O'Grady, Rademaker, Tallon, Wilamosky. Abstained: McKay. <br />6 Aye - 1 Abstention - Motion carried. Mr. Wilamosky moved for adoption, second <br />by Mr. Tallon. Roll call on motion: Affirmative vote: Bohlmann, Lackey, O'Grady, <br />Rademaker, Tallon, Wilamosky. Abstained: McKay. 6 Aye - 1 Abstention - Motion <br />carried. Ordinance No. 87-58 adopted. Mr. O'Grady pointed out that Councilman <br />McKay had been given permission to abstain on the legislation dealing with CEI, <br />by Council, two weeks ago, in caucus.
