-2-
Mr. Biskind's proposed shopping center will:
1. Encroach upon our residential neighborhood;
2. Will create severe traffic problems on Brookpark Road;
3. Will lower the valuation of abutting properties;
4. Will place a burden on already strained 8 treat maintenance
programs;
5. Will create additional police and fire proteFtion problems;
6. Will create additional noise pollution in our immediate area,
and;
7. Will create an overabundance of commercialization in our
community.
We, the residents in the area most affected, absolutely oppose the lifting of
the limited access restriction on Brookpark Road and strongly urge you to deny
any such request by Mr. Biskind.
As you are aware, Mr. Biskind is attempting to 'bypass the elected governmental
officials in our city. and in fact, is bypassing your own Regional Transportation
Office in an attempt to get you to lift the limited access restriction on Brookpark
Road. We strongly resent this back door approach by Mr. Biskind.
We would be most appreciative if you would give us the opportunity to present our
side of the issue to you before you make any decision. Please advise if, and when,
we may meet with you on this matter which is of great importance to us.
Sincerely,
Angelo Skoulis, President
Park West Homeowners' Association
24732 Mitchell Drive
North Olmsted, Ohio 44070
cc: Governor Richard Celeste
Senator Gary Suhaldonik
Ohio Department of Transportation
Martin Gallito, Manager
Kenneth Seifert
M.
