Council Minutes of 10/18/88 -3- <br />Mr. Boehmer, Chairman Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee reported: <br />1) Moved council have no objection to the transfer of a Cl, C2, D6 liquor per- <br />mit from R. John Boettler, Jr., dba Dairy Mart 5-4702, 29603 Lorain Road, to <br />Lawson Company dba Dairy Mart 4702, 29603 Lorain Road, second by Mr. Bohlmann, <br />unanimously approved. <br />Letters and Communications: <br />Clerk of Council reported receipt of a letter from United States Senator <br />John Glenn acknowledging receipt of Resolution No. 88-105 which dealt with <br />the POW/MIA's in Southeast Asia. Also, read a letter from Robert J. Zonar, <br />President Timber Trails Homeowners Association., complaining of illegal exiting <br />from the Nightfall bar and the broken beer bottle glass which litters the <br />sidewalk adjacent to Hickory Lane. <br />Audience participation: <br />Linda Melda, 4286 Porter Road; Lew and Kay Dorazio, 4610 Porter Road; Liz Early, <br />4196 Porter Road, all- supporters of SOS (Save Our Streets), gave an accounting <br />of the malicious vandalism being done by persons destroying the SOS signs <br />which have been erected throughout the city. Destruction is deliberately aimed <br />at SOS signs since other political yard signs are not being destroyed. SOS <br />Committee will not be deterred in their efforts and will continue to replace the <br />signs. Mayor Petrigac advised that the Police Department has been notified of <br />this vandalism and will fully prosecute anyone they find engaged in this type <br />of activity. <br />Madeline Brookshire, 5140 Hampton .Drive, Chairperson of RAP, stated that anyone <br />who erects a yard sign is vulnerable to this kind of action. Would assure <br />everyone that no one in her group condones this type of action and no one in <br />her group is involved. <br />LEGISLATION: <br />Ordinance No. 88-95 introduced by Mr. Tallon was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance to transfer appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures <br />for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 1988, as amended. <br />Mr. Tallon moved for adoption, second by Mr. Bohlmann, unanimously approved. <br />Ordinance No. 88-95 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 88-.101 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its third reading. <br />An ordinance to make appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures <br />for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 1988. Mr. Tallon <br />moved for adoption, second by Mr. Bohlmann, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. <br />88-101 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 88-102 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its third reading. <br />An ordinance to transfer appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures <br />for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 1988. Mr. Wilamosky <br />moved for adoption, second by Mr. Bohlmann, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. <br />88-102 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 88-103 introduced by Mr. Tallon was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance authorizing the Director of Law, for and on behalf of the City of North <br />Olmsted, to approve. and sign a Final Judgment Entry in the Case of Developers <br />` Diversified, et al v. the Ctiy of North Olmsted, et al, in the Court of Common <br />~` Pleas, Cuyahoga County, Case No. 127076, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Tallon <br />moved for adoption, second by Mr. O'Grady. Roll call on motion: Affirmative vote: <br />Boehmer, O'Grady, Tallon, Wilamosky. Negative vote: Bohlmann, McKay. 4 Aye - <br />2 Nay - Motion carried. Ordinance No. 88-103 adopted. <br />.ry.... .. <br />
