Council Minutes of 10/4/88 _8_
Audience participation (cont'd):
Roy Garland, 4576 Camellia, stated that a few months ago he had the opportunity
to review thE: Transportation Planning Study that was done two years ago. Some
present members of council were a part of that study, are presently serving on
some standing committees that should be doing some things that have not been
done. A few months ago, was discussing some of the things needing to be con-
sidered in North Olmsted such as the transportation problem, particularly
the north/south roads. Feels that a petition is needed to get council to get
their heads out of the sand and do some of the things such as the synchroni-
zation of roads. Chamber of Commerce is for that; feels it is necessary, however
this will solve the east/west problem. Council needs to look at the north/south
problem. One councilmember thought it was a responsibility of council and
brought it to council and council approved it. It is not a tax issue; it is
a feasibility plan; stop clouding the issue; city needs to move forward with
an investigation to find out whether some of these things are practical.
LEGISLATION:
Ordinance No. 88-94 introduced by Mr. Tallon was given its third reading.
