Council Minutes of 7/19/88 -6-

LEGISLATION (cont'd):
~, Ordinance No. 88-92 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its first readj.ng.
An ordinance approving a new sewer service agreement between the City of North
Olmsted and the County of Cuyahoga under which a portion of Olmsted Township
is served by the City's sanitary sewer system, superseding the existing agree-
. ment, authorizing the execution of the new agreement, and declaring an emergency.
Referred to Finance Committee.
Miscellaneous business:
Mr. Wilamosky scheduled a Finance Committee/Council-as-a Whole Committee Meeting
for Tuesday, July 26th, at 8 o'clock to discuss income tax legislation; review
the legislation; check the language. Also, will be discussing Ordinance No.
88-92, Sewer Service Agreement. Requested the Mayor, Director of Finance,
Service Director and Mr. Crider to be in attendance.
President Saringer announced that the Planning Review Committee will consist of
Mayor Petrigac, Safety Director Becker, Law Director Gareau, Councilpersons
Bahas, Tallon and Wilamosky, and from the Planning Commission, Mr. Morgan and
Mr. Gorris with. Mr. Bierman acting as alternate. Also, there will be a Special
Council Meeting on August 2nd, prior to the Executive Session, at 7 P.M. The
income tax issue will be on first reading.
Mr. O'Grady commented that he had read in the media that the flooding problem
in the Deerfield and Timber Trails Subdivisions would not be addressed until
after the November vote on the income tax increase, however, he also read that
Mr. Wilamosky stated, hat_the only reason this process has been delayed is be-
cause of discrepancies in the costs that were received from the administration
and hopefully this project will proceed within the next two weeks.
Mr. Wilamosky agreed that this was certainly the intent of the committee: to
pursue it and present a proposal to council to move ahead to resolve the problem.
The agenda being completed and there being no further business, President Saringer
adjourned the Council Meeting at 10:05 P.M.
6
lorence E. Campbell, Cl of Council
/f
!~
Ja t A. Saringer, Pres nt of Council
