Council Minutes of 7/5/88 <br />-4- <br />Audience participation (cont'd): <br />Lillian Kordish, 28541 Alden Drive, discussed low water pressure in city; feels <br />there should be a moratorium on any further building until this problem is <br />resolved. <br />Carol Extrand, 4562 Lansing Road, discussed the procedure for getting a zoning <br />change made. Was advised to attend the meetings held by Planning Cos~ssion, <br />Architectural Review Board, and/or Building, Zoning and Develop~aent Committee <br />of Council. Abutting residents are notified of contemplated zoning code changes. <br />Mrs. Extrand also asked if traffic signals could be placed on Porter Road to dis- <br />courage motorists from using that street; Mr. O'Grady advised that since Porter <br />Road is less than one mile long, in North Olmsted, the city is prohibited from <br />placing signage. Also, Mrs. Extrand discussed the mosquito problem with Mayor <br />Petrigac and the plans being formulated for better mosquito control. <br />Bill Lackey, 4449 Ranchview, asked how much the Water Department is willing to <br />pay for reconstruction of Porter Road after the new water line is installed. <br />Mayor responded that the city's commitment should probably be mostly for the <br />engineering; Cleveland should pick up quite a bit of the bill because the water <br />line will be placed right down the middle of Porter Road. <br />LEGISLATION: <br />Resolution No. 88-62 .introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its third reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for <br />fifty tons of chlorine for use in the North Olmsted Wastewater Treatment Plant. <br />Mr. Wilamosky moved for adoption, second by Mr. Tallon, unanimously approved. <br />Resolution No. 88-62 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 88-63 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance establishing a Motor Vehicle License Tax Fund within the Special Revenue <br />Fund group for. the purpose of accounting for receipts and expenditures of per- <br />missive motor vehicle license taxes levied under Section 4504.15, 4504,16, 5404.17, <br />4504.171 and 4504.172 of Ohio Revised Code, and declaring it an emergency. <br />Mr. Wilamosky moved for adoption, second by Mr. Tallon, unanimously approved. <br />Ordinance No. 88-63 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 88-66 introduced by Mr. Bohlmann was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance adopting a new and revised Chapter 1331 of the Codified Ordinances en- <br />titled "Dangerous or Unsafe Buildings", and declaring an emergency. Mr. Bohlmann <br />moved for adoption, second by Mr. O'Grady, unanimously approved. Ordinance. No. <br />88-66 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 88-71 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance to transfer appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures <br />for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 1388. Mr. Wilamosky <br />moved for adoption, second by Mr. Tallon, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. <br />88-71 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 88-72 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance to make appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures for <br />the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 1988.
