<br />4) With respect to the RTA audit report, which seemed to indicate that the
<br />city issued checks for direct deposit, they. agreed to change the wording;
<br />With the new system, the computer actually voids the checks; employees re-
<br />ceive something similar to a check but it is actually a deposit slip which
<br />states that x amount. of dollars have. been deposited; also states "this is
<br />not a check - void, void, void".
<br />Mr. Boehmer, Chairman Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee reported:
<br />1) Moved council have no objection to the transfer of a D2, D2X, D3, D3A and
<br />D6 liquor permit from J.C.P., Incorporated, dba Caesar's Lounge, 26116 Lorain
<br />Road, to Superdad, Incorporated, 26116 Lorain Road, second by Mrs. Babas,
<br />unanimously approved.
<br />2) Moved council have no objection to the issuance of a new D1 liquor permit to
<br />Frankie's Pizza, Incorporated, 4641 Great Northern Boulevard, second by Mrs.
<br />Babas, unanimously approved.
<br />3) Moved council have no objection to the transfer of a C1, C2, D6 liquor permit
<br />from Phillip and Charlene A. Mims, dba Columbia Point Beverage and Deli, 5600
<br />Columbia Road, to Maxine Bartoul and Feyrouz Saadeh, dba Columbia Point Bever-
<br />age and Deli, 5600 Columbia Road, second by Mrs. Babas, unanimously approved.
<br />Mr. O'Grady, Chairman Transportation Committee reported: 1) Ordinance Nos.
<br />88-54 and 88-55, which prohibit right turn and left turns off of Brookpark Road
<br />onto Clague Road have been removed from tonight's agenda. Mayor Petrigac had
<br />forwarded a memorandum saying that she had discussed this matter with Safety
<br />Director Becker, Captain Krynak and the consulting engineer, who requested this
<br />legislation be tabled. It appears that both eastbound and westbound traffic lanes
<br />are moving much better with the retiming of the traffic signals at the inter-
<br />section. Committee has agreed. to place the legislation back into committee
<br />for a re-evaluation at a later date.
<br />Mr. Tallon, Chairman Building, Zoning and Development Committee reported:
<br />1) BZD Committee, in caucus this evening, agreed to ask for suspension of rule
<br />requiring three readings with respect to Ordinance No. 88-60. The ordinance
<br />was discussed by the Finance Committee and referred to BZD Committee. While
<br />in Finance Committee, the following changes were made: cost to review plans
<br />will increase from $20 to $35; hours spent by the City Engineer will increase
<br />from $30 to $55; deposits for review of plans, topographic and preliminary
<br />maps and every document required by the city and for the recording of subdivision
<br />plats, easements, etc. shall be as follows: 6 to 10 lots - $300, 11 to 50 lots -
<br />$400, 51 to 100 lots - $600, 101 to 200 lots - $800, 201 lots and up - $1,000;
<br />all other subdivision requests will be $200; special deposits for rezoning
<br />requests - $400, mixed use requests - $-400; cost of inspection will be calculated
<br />on the basis of $35 per hour for each hour spent by the City Engineer's office
<br />and $55 for each hour spent by the City Engineer and/or Assistant Engineer.
<br />Mr. Wilamosky, Chairman Finance Committee reported: 1) Finance Committee met on
<br />May 26th, with the Mayor, Finance Director and Budget and Management Director in
<br />attendance, to discuss the Bond Retirement Fund. This fund currently has about
<br />$1,146,000 available, with an estimate of $40,000 in earned interest. Committee
<br />will recommend that Ordinance No. 88-59 be tabled and that the total payment
<br />of the $90,00 outstanding note on the Lorain Road resurfacing be made.
<br />2) Committee also briefly discussed the Deerfield Project and Bradley Road
<br />Project. In previous conversations with Service Director Noble, he had indicated
<br />that each of these projects would cost approximately $60,000. Director Noble
<br />then followed up this verbal estimate of costs with a letter estimating project
<br />costs to be triple what he had originally led the committee to believe. Hope to
