Council Minutes of 5/17/88 _4_ <br />Mr. McKay did not have a committee report, however, he did want to make council <br />aware that the State of Ohio is currently reviewing legislation to control <br />chemical lawn spraying; this legislation is much more stringent than the legis- <br />lation Mr. McKay had introduced. In the state's proposal, homeowners will be <br />notif ied as to what chemicals are being used and notification will be placed on <br />the lawn to the effect that it has been chemically treated. <br />Mr. Wilamosky, Chairman Finance Committee reported: 1) Although the May 10th scheduled <br />meeting of the Finance Committee had to be cancelled, he did have an ogportunity to <br />meet with Mayor Petrigac, Safety Director Becker', Assistant Chief Osterhouse with <br />respect to hydrant repair labor. It is Mr. Wilamosky's hope that the administration <br />will look at the utilization of other manpower or personnel as it relates to the <br />work in the area of hydrant maintenance as was described by Roger Osterhouse and <br />relayed to council in tonight's caucus. <br />LEGISLATION: <br />Ordinance No. 88-8 introduced by Mr. Tallon was given its third reading. An ordin- <br />ance authorizing the Building Commissioner to proceed with the demolition or removal <br />of the detached garage and single dwelling located at 4712 Dover Center Road, in the <br />City of North Olmsted, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Tallon moved to table <br />Ordinance No. 88-8, second by Mr. Wilamosky, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. <br />88-8 tabled. <br />Ordinance No. 88-34 introduced by Mr. Tallon was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance amending Section 1139.08 of the North Olmsted Zoning Code, entitled, <br />"Access Located Within District". Mr. Tallon moved for adoption, second by <br />Mr. McKay, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 88-34 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 88-36 introduced by Mr. Tallon was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance creating a new Paragraph (c) to Section 1139.04 of the Zoning Code, <br />entitled "Setback", and also providing for thirty-five foot setback areas in <br />retail business districts when certain conditions are met. Mr. Tallon moved <br />for adoption, second by Mr. McKay, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 88-36 <br />adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 88-49 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance amending Section 161.06 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North <br />Olmsted, entitled "Vehicle Mileage Allowance" of Chapter 161 entitled, "Employees <br />Generally". Mr. Wilamosky moved for adoption, second by Mr. Bohlmann, unanimously <br />approved. Ordinance No. 88-49 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 88-37 introduced by Mr. Tallon was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance creating new Section 1161.081, amending Section 1161.09 (a), and creating <br />new Paragraph (F) of Section 1161.12 of the Zoning Code, all of which concern <br />granting to the Planning Commission authority to vary the Zoning Code requirements <br />for parking, access drives and loading facilities, under certain specif ied con- <br />ditions, as amended. <br />Ordinance No. 88-52 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance adopting a new and revised Chapter 1115 of the Zoning Code of the City <br />of North Olmsted titled "Definitions". <br /> <br /> <br />
