<br />Council Minutes of 2/2/88 _6_ <br />~,,, LEGISLATION (cont'd): <br />Ordinance No. 88-18 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance to make appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures for <br />the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 1988. Mr. Wilamosky <br />moved for suspension of rule requiring three readings as well as referral to <br />committee, second by Mr. Tallon, unanimously approved. President Saringer asked <br />if anyone in the audience would like to address Ordinance No. 88-18; there was no <br />audience participation. Mr. Wilamosky moved for adoption, second by Mr. Tallon, <br />unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 88-18 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 88-19 introduced by Mrs. Bahas was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance authorizing and directing Don Copeland to make application on behalf <br />of the City of North Olmsted for Community Development Block Grant Funds for the <br />fiscal year 1988 and 1989, anal declaring an emergency. Ordinance No. 88-20 adopted. <br />Miscellaneous business: <br />Mayor Petrigac noted that some five to eight years ago, Councilmen Woerpel and <br />Bierman and she had put together an ordinance for an Industrial Park; council <br />might want to go back and review this legislation prior to the beginning of <br />the Industrial Park to be sure that it is updated and current with today's <br />codes and regulations. President Saringer asked Chairman Tallon to take <br />this legislation into the BZD Committee for consideration. <br />Mr. Boehmer scheduled a Safety and Transportation Committee Meeting for <br />February 10th at 7:30 P.M, and requested Fire Chief, Police Chief and City <br />Engineer as well as the Safety Director to be in attendance. <br />Mr. Wilamosky scheduled a Finance Committee Meeting for February 10th at 8:30 P.M. <br />and requested Chief Marsh, Safety Director Becker, Service Director Noble and <br />Finance Director Boyle to be in attendance to discuss legislation 88-11, 88-14, 88-17. <br />With the approach of Spring and the resultant flooding conditions, Mr. O'Grady <br />asked if anything had been considered by the Engineering Department to relieve the <br />situation in the Deerfield and Stoneybrook areas. Mayor Petrigac responded that <br />they have been working on some of the drainage, particularly the LeBern ditch. <br />Mr. O'Grady asked the Mayor to calculate some dollar figures for matching funds <br />for drainage problems going back to Issue Two. Mayor stated that she would <br />be able to have a dollar figure as requested. <br /> <br />
