Law Director Gareau responded that affidavits had been prepared and submitted
to the Police Department; since he had been at another trial for ten days, did not
know if they had been signed and returned to the Law Department. On at least four
occasions, notified the property owner of the violation. notices - giving him the
opportunity to purge. himself of contempt; it did not seem to make any difference.
Communicated with the lawyer and that did not do any good either. The only alter-
native left is to go back into court and ask that the owner be found in contempt
and let the judge do what he has to do as far as closing him down or whatever.
Mr. Wilamosky asked what action the judge was apt to take. Law Director Gareau
responded that it was up to the judge, however, it is a violation of a court order
and Judge McAllister is a "no nonsense" judge and he feels that some action will
be taken within the next couple of weeks.
The agenda being completed and there being no further business, President Saringer
adjourned the Council Meeting at 8:50 P.M.
Florence E.
