Council Minutes of 12/5/89 <br />-6- <br />LEGISLATION (cont'd): <br />Resolution No. 89-97 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its first reading. <br />A resolution accepting the amounts and rates as determined by the Budget <br />Commission and authorizing the necessary tax levies and certifying them to the <br />County Auditor. Mr. Wilamosky moved for suspension of rule requiring three <br />readings as well as referral to committee, second by Mr. Tallon, unanimously <br />approved. Mr. Wilamosky moved for adoption, second by Mr. Tallon,- unanimously <br />approved. Resolution No. 89-97 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 89-98 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its first reading. <br />A resolution directing the Auditor of Cuyahoga County to pay to the City of <br />North Olmsted, Ohio, during the year 1990, all tax money due and owing said <br />city from any collection source. Mr. Wilamosky moved for suspension of rule <br />requiring three readings as well as referral to committee, second by Mr. Bohlmann, <br />unanimously approved. Mr. Wilamosky moved for adoption, second by Mr. Bohlmann, <br />unanimously approved. Resolution No. 89-98 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 89-99 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its first. reading. <br />An ordinance to make appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures <br />for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 1990. Referred <br />to Finance Committee. <br />Ordinance No. 89-100 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its first reading. <br />An ordinance authorizing the issuance of $1,410,000 "Adjustable Rate Industrial <br />Development Revenue Bonds (Therm-All, Inc. 1989 Project)" of the City of North <br />Olmsted, Ohio, for the purpose of making a loan to assist Robert Smigel in <br />financing the costs of a "Project" within the meaning of Chapter 165, Ohio <br />Revised Code, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Wilamosky moved for suspension <br />of rule requiring three readings as well as ref erral to committee, second by <br />Mrs. Bahas, unanimously approved. <br />Audience participation on Ordinance No. 89-100: <br />Karen Bozzelli, Amer Cunningham Brennan, stated they were acting as bond council <br />on the proposed project which will be located at the interchange of 1480 and <br />Lorain Road. The borrower is Robert Smigel and the project. will be leased to <br />Therm-All, Inc. The tenant is presently Located in Strongsville and in moving <br />to North Olmsted is estimating the creation of 45/50 new jobs in this area. <br />The tenant is engaged in the manufacturing and distribution of faced fiberglass <br />insulation materials; would urge council to approve the legislation. <br />Mr. Wilamosky moved to adopt Ordinance No. 89-100, second by Mr. Bohlmann, <br />unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 89-100 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 89-101 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its first. reading. <br />An ordinance to widen, reconstruct and resurface Great Northern Boulevard (SR-252) <br />from Butternut Ridge Road to Lorain Road (SR-10) in the City of North Olmsted, a <br />distance of .0.93 miles more or less, and declaring an emergency. Mr. McKay moved <br />for suspension of rule requiring three readings as well as referral to committee, <br />second by Mrs. Bahas, unanimously. approved. Mr. McKay moved for adoption, second <br />by Mr. Boehmer, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 89-101 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 89-102 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its first reading. <br />An ordinance to transfer appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures <br />for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 1989. Mr. Wilamosky <br />moved for suspension of rule requiring three readings as well as ref erral to <br />committee, second by Mr. Tallon, unanimously approved.
