The contractor
will install 100 feet of 5 foot diameter pipe on the site and tie into the
existing retention basin. This solution is one where the councilmen will get
the retention; the contractor builds a system that is not required and the city
gains the added responsibility of making sure that this system never stands
alone because it is not of adequate capacity. This information was given in
Mr. Cesen's report to the Mayor.
3) Meeting has been scheduled for the architect to meet with the Recreation
Commission and Members of Council to go over the plans for the Recreation Complex.
Notice has been forwarded to all parties concerned.
4) Application for Issue Two money has been sent; most of the items had been pre-
viously included, however, sanitary substations at two pump stations, for the
valves, have been added.
5) Attended a drug conference on September 20th sponsored by Mayor Voinovich and
Council President Forbes. Many cities are implementing an employee program, some
of them similar to the one being implemented in North Olmsted. Some. cities are
also starting a DARE Program. Met with representatives from Strongsville and
Berea about setting up the DARE Program in North Olmsted.
6) St. Andrew Lutheran Church, on Clague Road, is sponsoring a drive to aid the
victims of Hurricane Hugo.
