Council Minutes of 9/19/89 -4- <br />LEGISLATION (cont'd): <br />Ordinance No. 89-77 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance approving and accepting a collective bargaining agreement with Ohio <br />Council 8 and Local No. 2681 of American Federation of State, County and Municipal <br />Employees covering clerks/technicians and directing the Mayor to enter into said <br />agreement, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Wilamosky moved for suspension of rule <br />requiring three readings, second by Mr. Boehmer, unanimously approved. Mr. Wila- <br />mosky moved for adoption, second by Mr. Boehmer, unanimously approved. Ordinance <br />No. 89-77 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 89-78 introduced by Mr. O'Grady was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance amending the Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted by <br />providing for the installation of a "no parking" sign on the cul-de-sac portion <br />of Ambour Drive, and declaring an emergency. Ref erred to Safety Committee. <br />Ordinance No. 89-79 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its first .reading. An <br />ordinance granting to MetroTen Cablevision, Incorporated, an Ohio Corporation, and <br />its successors and assigns, a non-exclusive franchise to construct, install, main- <br />tain and operate a cable communications system in, under, over, along, across and <br />upon the streets and public grounds within the City of North Olmsted, and fixing <br />and prescribing the terms and conditions under which such operation shall be con- <br />ducted. Referred to Legislation Committee. <br />Miscellaneous business: <br />Mr. Wilamosky moved to direct the Clerk of Council to write a letter advising <br />the Ohio Department of Liquor Control that the Council of the City of North <br />Olmsted objects to the renewal of a liquor license for the Star Lounge; letter <br />to be accompanied by a Letter of Opinion from Law Director Gareau, second by <br />Mr. Boehmer, unanimously approved. (See letters attached hereto) <br />Mr. McKay asked Mayor Petrigac if Metro Lexus had obtained permits for the con- <br />struction now going on at Lorain Road; construction was going on yesterday even <br />though the plans were not received at City Hall until today. Mr. Wilamosky re- <br />ported that he had talked with the Engineering Department today with respect to <br />this matter and was told that two permits were issued, bath dated September 12th, <br />No. G3520 and No. 1438; there were some revised plans turned in today. Mr. <br />Wilamosky intends to visit the Engineering Department tomorrow since it appears <br />that Metro Lexus intends to tie in their storm water retention with the Nissan <br />retention; feels it is kind of irregular to use the Nissan retention for a totally <br />diff Brent business, <br />Mr. O'Grady reminded everyone that there is a Long Range Planning Committee Meeting <br />scheduled for the 27th of September, at 7:30 P.M. <br />Mr. Tallon scheduled a BZD Committee Meeting for Wednesday, September 27th, at <br />8 P.M., with Building Commissioner Conway and Consulting Engineer Cesen invited to <br />be present. <br />Mr. Boehmer scheduled a Safety Committee Meeting for Wednesday, September 27th at <br />7:30 P.M. to discuss Ordinance No. 89-78. <br />Mr. McKay asked Mayor Petrigac if anything had been done with respect to the noise <br />on Fleharty. Mayor responded that when the police have responded to complaints, <br />they have been unable to find any violations; has requested them to give this area <br />a little more surveillance. <br />
