MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />JUNE 20, 1989 <br />Present: President Pro Tem Dean McKay, Councilmen Boehmer, Bohlmann, <br />O'Grady, Tallon, Wilamosky. <br />Also present: Law Director Michael Gareau, Finance Director Edward Boyle, <br />Clerk of Council Florence Campbell. <br />Absent: President Saringer and Councilwoman Bahas. <br />Meeting was called to order by President Pro Tem McKay at 8:10 P.M., in Council <br />Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Members of Council in reciting the <br />Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />Minutes of the Council Meeting of June 6, 1989, were approved. <br />President Pro Tem McKay announced: 1) Since President Saringer is on vacation <br />this week, Councilman McKay, as President Pro Tem, will chair this evening's <br />meeting. <br />2) Council will be on vacation the last two weeks in July and the first two weeks <br />in August; council meetings during those two months will be held on July 5th, <br />due to the Fourth of July Holiday, a special council meeting on July 6th, and the <br />next regular meeting on August 15th. <br />3) Public Hearing on Ordinance No. 89-50, the 1990 budget, will be held at 7 P.M., <br />just prior to the July 5th council meeting. <br />4) Ordinance No. 89-30, covering the issuance and sale of $150,000 notes for the <br />improvement of the city's street system by installation of signals and signs, has <br />been added to tonight's agenda and is on third reading for the purpose of being <br />tabled. Ordinance No. 89-53, superseding Ordinance No. 89-30, covering the issu- <br />ance and sale of $180,000 notes for the same signalization, has been added to the <br />agenda and will be on first reading tonight. <br />5) Ordinance No. 89-54, an ordinance to make appropriations for the year ending <br />December 31, 1989, has been added to the agenda and is also on first reading. <br />6) Ordinance No. 89-6, covering impact fees has been placed on the agenda on <br />third reading; Resolution No. 89-55, accepting for recording purposes only the <br />Cambridge Crossings Estates Subdivision, has been added and placed on first reading. <br />7) Suspension of the rule requiring three readings will be requested for Ordinance <br />Nos. 89-52 and 89-54. <br />Law Director Gareau reported: 1) Filed the brief today with respect to the Sunset <br />Memorial Case. <br />2) Is in the process of reviewing the Dingess complaint with the thought of moving <br />for a summary judgment or dismissal of the complaint since he failed to state a <br />cause of action under federal law. <br /> <br /> <br />
