',
Council Minutes of 3/7/89 -4-
committee's suggestion that the station wagon be paid for from the police
equipment purchase monies and some internal adjustments be made when the
appropriation ordinance is finalized. The committee had no objection to the
purchases and they have no doubt been made.
2) The committee began to look at the appropriation ordinance, No. 89-12, and
listened to the administration's comments. At this time, committee did not have
the current balances; as Finance Director Boyle indicated in his report, the
committee is currently in receipt of these and they will be very helpful in
determining where the city really is relative to the appropriations. Committee
had a tentative figure in the General Fund of about $300,000; the new figures
are substantially less.
3) Committee has no objection to Ordinance No. 89-10, which authorizes the Service
Director to advertise for bids to determine the cost for contract leaf pickup and
hopes the administration will share that information immediately following the
bid opening.
4) Committee also reviewed the intent of Ordinance No. 89-17 which provides for an
appropriation for equipment and maintenance repair in the Recreation Fund in the
amount of $4500. Committee has no objection and will make any necessary adjustment
in the permanent appropriations.
LEGISLATION:
Ordinance No. 86-66 introduced by Mrs. Saringer was given its third reading.
