Council Minutes of 2/21/89 -4- <br />LEGISLATION (cont'd): <br />Ordinance No. 89-4 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its third reading. <br />An ordinance approving and accepting a collective bargaining agreement with the <br />Western Cuyahoga Lodge No. 25 of the Fraternal Order of Police and directing <br />the Mayor to enter into said agreement, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Wila- <br />mosky moved for adoption, second by Mr. Boehmer, unanimously approved. Ordin- <br />ance No. 89-4 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 89-7 introduced by Mr. Wilamosky was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance to make appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures for <br />the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 1989, as amended. <br />Mr. Wilamosky moved for adoption, second by Mr. Tallon, unanimously approved. <br />Ordinance No. 89-7 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 89-9 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its second reading. <br />A resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids <br />for the reconstruction and replacement of Culvert No. 6 located on McKenzie <br />Road, in the City of North Olmsted, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 89-10 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its second reading. <br />A resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids <br />with an outside contractor for the purpose of providing, on a contract basis, <br />leaf pick-up service throughout the City of North Olmsted, and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 89-12 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its first reading. <br />An ordinance to make appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures <br />for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 1989. Referred <br />to Finance Committee. <br />Ordinance No. 89-13 introduced by Mayor Petrigac was given its first reading. <br />An ordinance setting the compensation to be paid each member of the Architectur- <br />al Review Board, and declaring an emergency. Referred to Finance Committee. <br />Ordinance No. 89-14 introduced by Mr. O'Grady on behalf of Mrs. Bahas was given <br />its first reading. An ordinance for the improvement of a portion of public <br />highway which is described as follows: (1) the construction of Crocker-Stearns <br />(CR-118) Extension, with turning lanes where needed, from Lorain Road to the <br />North Olmsted North Corporation Line; .and (2) the grade, drain, pave, and widen <br />to four lanes of Stearns Road (CR-76) from I-480 to Lorain Road, and declaring <br />an emergency. Referred to Long Range Planning Committee. <br />Ordinance No. 89-15 introduced by Mr. Bohlmann was given its first reading. <br />An ordinance adopting a new and revised Chapter 945 of the Codified Ordinances <br />entitled, "Community Cabin/Senior Center" and repealing Ordinance No. 88-77, <br />and declaring an emergency. <br />Miscellaneous business: <br />President Saringer pointed out, with respect to Ordinance No. 89-13, that several <br />years ago she had recommended council consider compensation for some of the other <br />boards and commissions. This legislation is to increase compensation for the <br />ARB and other boards and commissions do not even receive reimbursement for their <br />gas mileage. Would the Finance Committee please consider this disparity when <br />discussing Ordinance No. 89-13? <br />_. <br />
