An ordinance authorizing the Police Department to purchase (8) <br />eight hand. held walkie-talkie hits, and declaring an emergency. Mr. <br />Tallon moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and <br />submission to committee; second by Mr. O'Grady; passed unanimously. Mr. <br />Tallon moved for adoption; second. by Mr. O'Grady; passed unanimously. <br />Ordinance No. 90-148 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 90-149 was introduced by Mrs. Babas and placed on. first <br />reading. An ordinance establishing the method by which fees for the use <br />of the facilities of the Recreation Department are to be fixed, and <br />repealing Ordinance No. 89-3b and declaring an emergency. Ordinance was <br />referred to the Recreation Committee. <br />Resolution No. 90-150 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. <br />O'Grady. A resolution authorizing the Director of Public Safety to <br />advertise for bids for the clearing and leveling of land, placement of <br />drainage and seeding of the northwestern portion of North Olmsted Park in <br />the City of North Olmsted, acid declaring an emergency. Ordinance was <br />referred to the Safety and Recreation Ccmanittees. <br />Mrs. Saringer asked to be able to change her vote on Ordinance No. 90- <br />107. After discussion with the Law Director and consulting the Rules of <br />Council, it was determined that the vote could not be changed. However, <br />it was determined that a motion for reconsideration would be in order. <br />Mrs. Beringer moved to reconsider Ordinance No. 90-107; second by Mr. <br />Nashar. Roll call: Affirmative votes--Mrs. Beringer, Mr. McKay; <br />Negative votes--Mr. Nashar, Mrs. Babas, Mr. O'Grady, Mr. Tallon. Motion <br />failed with 2 ayes and 4 nays. <br />Ordinance No. 90-151 was introduced by Mayor Boyle and placed on first <br />reading. An ordinance to amend Sections 1501.0101, 1501.0501, 1501.0502, <br />1501.1302, 1501.1901 and 1501.2101 of the Codified Ordinances of the City <br />of North Olmsted, Ohio, in order to increase the Municipal Income Tax <br />Rate from one percent to two percent and to increase the Municipal Income <br />Tax Credit to seventy-five percent of the income tax paid to another <br />municipality on income taxed by the City of North Olmsted to the extent <br />that the income tax so paid does not exceed two percent of that taxable <br />income, and declaring an emergency. <br />Resolution No. 90-152 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mayor <br />Boyle. A resolution declaring the necessity of an election on the <br />question of approving the passage of an ordinance to amend Sections <br />1501.0101, 1501.0501, 1501.0502, 1501.1302, 1501.1901, and 1501.2101 of <br />the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, in order to <br />increase the Municipal Income Tax Rate from one percent to two percent <br />and to increase the Municipal Income Tax Credit to seventy-five percent <br />of the income tax paid to another municipality on income taxed by the <br />City of North Olmsted to the extent that the income tax so paid does not <br />exceed two percent of that taxable income, and declaring an emergency. <br />6 <br /> <br />
