MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTID <br />OCTOBER 16, 1990 <br />Present: Council President Boehmer, Council Members Babas, <br />Leonard, McKay, Nashar, O'Grady, Tallon. <br />Also Present: Mayor Edward Boyle, Law Director Michael Gareau, Finance <br />Director James Burns, Clerk of Council Florence Campbell. <br />Absent: Council Member Saringer <br />President Boehmer called the meeting to order at 8 p.m. in Council <br />Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, OH. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in reciting the <br />Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br />The following minutes were approved as written: <br />Regular Council of May 1, 1990 <br />Special Council of May 7, 1990 <br />Special Council of May 9, 1990 <br />President Boehmer announced that Resolutions 90-143, 90-144, and 90-145 <br />would be added to the agenda. Also, Ordinances 90-140, 90-143, 90-144, <br />and 90-145 will be passed under suspension of the rules. <br />Mrs. Babas moved for the amenc~nt of the agenda so that Council could <br />proceed with 90-144 and 90-145; second by Mr. Nashar; passed <br />unanimously. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Resolution No. 90-144 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mrs. <br />Babas. A resolution supporting World Food Day, October 16, 1990. Mrs. <br />Babas moved for suspension of the rules; second by Mr. Leonard; passed <br />unanimously. Mrs. Bah~as moved for adoption; second by Mr. Leonard; <br />passed unanimously. Resolution No. 90-144 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 90-145 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mrs. <br />Babas. An ordinance adopting the official flag of the City of North <br />Olmsted, arxi declaring an emergency. Mrs. Babas moved for suspension of <br />the rules; second by Mr. Nashar; passed unanimously. rfrs. Babas moved <br />for adoption; second by Mr. Nashar; passed unanimously. Ordinance No. <br />90-145 adopted. <br />Reports <br />Mayor Boyle presented a Proclamation to Mr. Boessneck, representing our <br />food bank, supporting World Food Day of Octaber 16, 1990. Mr. Boessneck <br />was recognized by the Mayor, Administration, Council and the audience. <br />Mayor Boyle noted that a portion of the sale of the 175th Anniversary <br />Christmas tree bulbs .would go to support the food bank. <br />1 <br /> <br />
