Council Minutes of 9/4/90 <br />Le~i_slation (continued) <br />Ordinance No. ~ introduced by Mr. Tallon was given its first <br />reading. An ordinance to establish within the Special Revenue Fund <br />Group A "Hotel/Motel Tax Ftmd" of the City of North Olmsted for receipt <br />of Hotel/Motel tax monies and related expenditures for safety equipment, <br />and declaring an emergency. Mr. Tallon moved for suspension of the <br />rules requiring three readings; second by Mrs. Beringer; passed <br />unanimously. Mr. Tallon moved for adoption; second by Mrs. Beringer; <br />passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 90-108 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 90-109 introduced by Council was given its first reading. <br />An ordinance providing for the submission to the electors of ttie City of <br />North Olmsted, Ohio of an amendment to Article III, Section 5 (a) of the <br />Charter, .providing clarification of the appointment and removal <br />authority of the Mayor, as recammencied by the Charter Review Committee, <br />and declaring an emergency. Mr. Leonard moved for suspension of the <br />rules requiring three readings; second by Mr. O'Grady; passed <br />unanimously. Mr. Leonard moved for adoption; second by Mr. Nashar; <br />passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 90-109 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 90-110 introduced by Council was given its first reading. <br />An ordinance providing for the submission to the electors of the City of <br />North Olmsted, Ohio of an t to Article V, Section 4 (d) of the <br />Charter, designating the head of the Division of Parks and Recreation as <br />the Parks and Recreation Commissioner, as rec~ed by the Charter <br />Review Committee, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Nashar moved for <br />suspension of the rules requiring three readings; second by Mr. Leonard; <br />passed unanimously. Mr. Nashar moved for adoption; second by Mr. <br />Leonard; passed unariiinously. Ordinance No. 90-110 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 90-111 introduced by Council was given its first reading. <br />An ordinance providing for the submission to the electors of the City of <br />North Olmsted, Ohio of an ame~nent to Article 4, Section 6 of the <br />Charter providing for establishing the compensation of elected city <br />officials, a recogmendation by the Charter Review CamEnittee ~ <br />declaring an emergency. Mr. O'Grady moved for suspension of the rules <br />requiring three readings; secor~ by Mrs. Babas; passed unanimously. Mr. <br />O'Grady moved for adopti.on,• second by Mr. Nashar. Roll call: <br />Affirmative votes - 3; Negative votes - 3; motion failed. Ordinance No. <br />90-111 not adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 90-112 introduced by Council was given its first reading. <br />An ordinance providing for the submission to the electors of the City of <br />North Olmsted, Ohio of an am~dment to Article VII of the Charter, <br />creating a new Section 6, entitled "City Landmarks ComEnission," as <br />recommended by the Charter Review Committee, and declaring an urgency. <br />Mrs. Beringer moved to suspend the rules requiring three readings; <br />second by Mrs. Babas; passed unanimously.
