Council Minutes of 5/15/90 <br />-3- <br />LEGISLATION: <br />Ordinance No. 90-42 introduced :_ by Mrs. Saringer was given its third reading. <br />An ordinance amending Section 951.01 of the Codified Ordinances entitled, <br />Use By Other Governmental Entities" of Chapter 951 entitled "City Jaii", <br />and declaring an emergency. Mr. McKay moved for adoption, second by Mrs. <br />Saringer, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 90-42 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 90-47 introduced by Mr. McKay. was given its third reading. A <br />resolution requesting the Ohio Department of Transportation to improve Lorain <br />Road, State Route 10, from the west corporation line to the. east corporation <br />line by resurfacing, and declaring an emergency. Mr. McKay moved for adoption, <br />second by Mrs. Saringer, unanimously approved. Resolution No. 90-47 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 90-48 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its third reading. A <br />resolution designating the bearded iris as the official city flower and re- <br />pealing Resolution No. 79-16~. Mr. McKay moved for adoption, second by Mrs. <br />Saringer, unanimously approved. Resolution No. 90-48 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 90-54 introduced by Mrs. Bahas was given its second. reading. An <br />ordinance amending Chapter 713 of the Business Code of the Codified Ordinances <br />of the City of North Olmsted entitled "Structures for Non-Transients" by adding <br />thereto a new Section 713.19 entitled "Occupancy Restrictions", and declaring <br />an emergency. Mrs. Bahas moved to table, second by Mrs. Saringer, unanimously <br />approved.. Ordinance No. 90-54 tabled. <br />Ordinance No. 90-59 introduced by Mr. Tallon was .given its first reading. An <br />ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of a $100,000 note, in anticipation <br />of the issuance of bonds for the purpose of acquiring a motor vehicle and related <br />equipment for the Department of Public Service, and declaring an emergency. <br />Mr. Tallon moved for suspension of rule requiring three readings, second by Mrs. <br />Saringer, unanimously approved. Mr. Tallon moved for adoption, second by Mrs. <br />Saringer, unanimsouly approved. Ordinance No. 90-59 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 90-60 introduced by Mr. Tallon was given its first reading. An <br />Ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of a $100,000 note in anticipation <br />of the issuance of bonds to gay costs of improving the Municipal Sewage <br />System by acquiring, constructing and installing storm sewers, storm water re- <br />tention basins, storm water drainage control equipment and catch basins, together <br />with the necessary appurtenances thereto, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Tallon <br />moved for suspension of rule requiring three readings, second by Mrs. Saringer, <br />unanimously approved. Mr. Tallon moved for adoption, second by Mrs. Saringer, <br />unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 90-60 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 90--61 introduced by Mr. Tallon was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of a $100,000 notes, in anticipation <br />of the issuance of bonds, to pay costs of improving the city's street system by <br />acquiring and installing. signals, signs and other equipment and devices to direct <br />and control the flow of vehicular and pedestrian traffic, and .declaring an <br />emergency. Mr. Tallon moved for suspension of rule requiring three readings, <br />second by Mrs. Saringer, unanimously approved. Mr. Tallon moved for adoption, <br />second by Mrs. Saringer., unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 90-61 adopted. <br /> <br /> <br />
