<br />Ordinance No. 90-62 introduced by Mr. Tallon was given its first reading. An
<br />ordinance providng for the issuance and sale of $200,000 notes in anticipation
<br />of the issuance of bonds, to pay costs of acquiring an emergency rescue vehicle
<br />and equipment, including turn out gear, air pace and tanks., radio equipment,
<br />hoses and nozzles, for use in carrying out functions of the Division of Fire of
<br />the Department of Public Safety, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Tallon moved
<br />for suspension of rule requiring three readings, second by Mrs. Saringer,
<br />unanimously .approved. Mr. Tallon moved for adoption, second by Mr. McKay,
<br />unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 90-62 adopted.
<br />Ordinance No. 90-63 introduced by Mr. Tallon was given its first reading. An
<br />ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of $240,000 notes, in anticipation
<br />of the issuance of bonds, for the purpose of providing funds to pay costs of the
<br />judgment rendered against the city in Civil Action No. C82-3089 in the United
<br />States. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, Eastern Division, and
<br />losses, damages and expenses related thereto, and declaring an emergency. Mr.
<br />Tallon moved for suspension of rule requiring three readings, second by Mr. McKay,
<br />unanimously approved. Mr. Tallon moved for adoption, second by Mr. McKay, unani-
<br />mously approved. Ordinance No. 90-63 adopted.
<br />Ordinance No. 90-64 introduced by Mr. Tallon was given its first reading. An
<br />ordinance levying special assessments for the improvement of North Olmsted
<br />Industrial Parkway between certain termini by grading, draining, curbing,
<br />paving and constructing a water main and storm and sanitary sewers, together
<br />with the necessary appurtenances thereto, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Tallon
<br />moved for suspension of rule requiring three readings, second by Mr. McKay,
<br />unanimously approved. Mr. Tallon moved for adoption, second by Mr. McKay,
<br />unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 90-64 adopted.
<br />Ordinance No. 90-65 introduced by Mr. Tallon was given its first reading. An
<br />emergency ordinance enacted by the City of North Olmsted, County of Cuyahoga,
<br />Ohio, in the matter of the hereinafter described improvement and to request
<br />cooperation by the Director of Transportation: widen, reconstruct and resurface
<br />Great Northern Boulevard (SR 252) from IR 480 to Lorain Road (SR 10) in the City
<br />of North Olmsted, a distance of 0.77 miles more or less.
<br />Ordinance No. 90--66 introduced by Mrs. Saringer was given its first reading. An
<br />ordinance amending Chapter 521 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North
<br />Olmsted entitled "Health, Safety and Sanitation" by adding thereto a new Section
<br />521.13 entitled "Visual Obstructions of Right of Way", and declaring an emergency.
<br />Ordinance No. 90-67 introduced by Mr. Leonard was given its first reading. An
<br />ordinance establishing a new Chapter 745 of the Codified Ordinances of the City
<br />of North Olmsted entitled "Hotel and Motel Tax.
<br />Ordinance No. 90-68 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its first reading. An
<br />ordinance authorizing the Director of Public Service to enter into an agreement
<br />with Automation Services and Consultants, Inc., without public bidding, because
<br />of an emergency situation, for the purpose of installing automatic variable
<br />speed controllers and associated parts for the lift pumps at Dover Center Road
<br />pump station, and declaring an emergency. Mr. McKay moved for suspension of rule
<br />requiring three readings as well as referral to committee, second by Mrs. Saringer,
<br />unanimously approved. Mr. McKay moved for adoption, second by Mrs. Saringer,
<br />unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 90-68 adopted.
