w <br />,~ .Council Minutes of 4/3/90 -6- <br />LEGISLATION (cont'd): <br />Ordinance No. 90-42 introduced by Mrs. Saringer was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance Amending Section 951.01 of the Codified Ordinances, entitled, "Use <br />By Other Governmental Entities" of Chapter 951, entitled, "City Jail", and de- <br />claring an emergency. Ref erred to Finance Committee. <br />Ordinance No. 90-43 introduced by Mrs. Babas was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance creating a new full-time administrative position to be known as <br />"Clerk of Commissions", and declaring an emergency. Referred to Finance Committee. <br />Ordinance No. 90-44 introduced by Mr. Nashar was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance to make and transfer appropriations for current expenses and other ex- <br />penditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 1990. <br />Referred to Finance Committee. <br />Resolution No. 90-45 introduced by the Mayor and the entire Council was given its <br />first reading. A resolution commending the public service of Police Chief Thomas <br />A. Marsh. Mr. Leonard moved for suspension of rule requiring three readings as <br />well as referral to committee, second by Mrs. Babas, unanimously approved. Mr. <br />Leonard moved for adoption, second by Mrs. Babas, unanimously approved. Resolu- <br />tion No. 90-45 adopted and read in its entirety. Police Chief Marsh was con- <br />gratulated and recognized by Members of Council, the administration and the audience. <br />Ordinance No. 90-46 introduced by Mrs. Saringer was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance providing for the amendment of the Zone Map of the City of North Olmsted, <br />which Zone Map is part of the Zoning Code of the City of North Olmsted, by changing <br />the premises hereinafter described from Single Residence B District to General <br />Retail Business District. Referred to BZD Committee. <br />Miscellaneous business: <br />Mrs. Saringer reminded council that a BZD Meeting would be held on Thursday, April 5th <br />at 7 o'clock. <br />Mr. O'Grady moved for suspension of Council Rule No. 63 in order to introduce a <br />new rule prohibiting smoking in any caucus or committee meetings of council, <br />without being assigned to committee or requiring three readings, second by <br />Mrs. Babas, unanimously approved. Mr. O'Grady moved to approve a new rule of <br />council which would prohibit smoking at any council committee meetings or at any <br />council caucuses, second by Mrs. Babas, unanimously approved. <br />Mr. Leonard moved to excuse the absence of Mr. McKay and Mr. Tallon, second by <br />Mrs. Saringer, unanimously approved. <br />The agenda being completed and there being no further business, President Boehmer <br />adjourned the Council Meeting at 9:10 P.M. <br />lorence E.
