An <br />ordinance amending the Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted by pro- <br />viding for the prohibition of truck traffic on a portion of Country Club Boule- <br />vard, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 90-34 introduced by Mr. Tallon was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance to transfer funds from the Industrial Park Road Fund to the Capital <br />Improvements Fund and from the Capital Improvements Fund to the General Fund, <br />and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 90-36 introduced by Mr. Ta11on was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of $1,300,000 notes, in anticipation <br />of the issuance of bonds, to pay costs of renovating, remodeling, rehabilitating, <br />furnishing, equipping and otherwise improving the Municipal Recreation Center and <br />improving and equipping its site. <br />Ordinance No. 90-37 introduced by Mr. Tallon was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance providing for the issuance and sale of $500,000 notes, in anticipation <br />of the issuance of bonds, to pay costs of acquiring motor vehicles and equipment <br />for use in carrying out functions of the Department of Public Service. <br />Ordinance No. 90-38 introduced by Mrs. Bahas was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance. establishing rates of compensation for various administrative and <br />legislative personnel, and declaring. an emergency. Mrs. Bahas moved for sus- <br />pension of rule requiring three readings as well as referral to committee, <br />second by Mr. O'Grady, unanimously approved. Mrs. Bahas moved for adoption, <br />second by Mr. O'Grady, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 90-38 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 90-39 introduced by Mrs. Bahas was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance establishing the organization and composition of the non-uniform, <br />part-time personnel of the Police Department, and declaring an emergency. Referred <br />to Finance Committee. <br />Resolution No. 90-40 introduced by Mrs. Bahas was given its first reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for <br />the renovation of the Recreation Complex for the North Olmsted Parks and <br />Recreation Department, and authorizing the Mayor to contract for same, and de- <br />claring an emergency. Referred to Finance Committee. <br />Ordinance No. 90-41 introduced by Mr. Nashar was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance creating a new Chapter 759 of the Business Regulation Code of the <br />Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted entitled, "Sale of Irradiated <br />Foods", and declaring an emergency. Mr. Nashar moved for suspension of rule <br />requiring three readings as well as .referral to committee, second by Mrs. <br />Saringer. After discussion by Councilman O'Grady, who questioned the necessity <br />for passage of this legislation tonight, Mr. Nashar's motion and Mrs. Saringer's <br />second were withdrawn. Legislation was placed into Environmental Control <br />Committee with the Mayor's suggestion that a resolution addressing the State of <br />Ohio might have more of an impact; Law Director Gareau agreed that this sounded <br />like a better idea. Mayor. Boyle also suggested that in Mr. McKay's absence <br />tonight, that the ordinance should include his name as well as Mr. Nashar's <br />as sponsor. <br />~~~~;~~ <br />
