r <br />Council Minutes of 3/6/90 -5- <br />LEGISLATION (cont'd): <br />Q~ Ordinance No. 90-24 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its first reading. An <br />~M~-` ordinance amending the Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted by <br />providing for the installation of three-way stop signs at the intersection of <br />Columbia and Butternut Ridge Roads, thereby controlling traff is travelling in <br />a southerly direction on Columbia Road, controlling. traffic travelling in a <br />northerly direction on Columbia Road and controlling traffic travelling in an <br />easterly direction on Butternut Ridge Road, and declaring an emergency. Referred <br />to Safety Committee. <br />Ordinance No. 90-25 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance .amending the Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted by <br />providing for the prohibition of truck and bus traffic on Country Club Boulevard <br />and limiting the traffic travelling thereon to local traffic only, from Lorain <br />Road easterly to Victoria Lane, and, from Victoria Lane westerly to Lorain Road, <br />and declaring an emergency. Referred to Safety Committee. <br />Ordinance No. 90-26 introduced by Mrs. Saringer was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance authorizing the Director of Public Service to. make emergency repairs on <br />the Dover and LeBern Lift Stations with respect to the valves which are an integral <br />part of the pumping system, without public bidding, and declaring an emergency. <br />Mrs. Saringer moved for suspension of rule requiring three readings as well as <br />referral to committee, second by Mrs. Babas, unanimously approved. Mrs. Saringer <br />moved for adoption, second by Mrs. Babas, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. <br />90-26 adopted. <br />Miscellaneous business: <br />Mrs. Saringer scheduled a BZD Committee Meeting for March 15th, at 7 P.M., with <br />the appropriate Building Department personnel in attendance. <br />Mrs. Babas scheduled a Legislative Committee Meeting-for March 13th, at 7:30 P.M., <br />for the purposes of one interview and also discussion of the tax appeals appointment. <br />Mr. McKay scheduled an Environmental Committee Meeting for March 13th, immediately <br />following the Legislative Committee Meeting. <br />Mr. Tallon scheduled the following Finance Committee Meetings: March 13th, following <br />the Special Planning Commission Meeting, to discuss Safety Department;. March 15th, <br />following the BZD Committee Meeting, to discuss Service Department; March 19th, <br />at 7:30 P.M., to discuss general Administration; March 26th, at 7:30 P.M., if needed. <br />Mr. O'Grady scheduled a Safety Committee Meeting for 7 P.M., on March 19th, and <br />requested the attendance of Chief Marsh or his representative as well as Mr. McKay. <br />Mayor Boyle announced. that the Charter Review Commission will be meeting the first <br />and third Tuesdays of the month, in the downstairs conference room. Suggestions <br />for charter amendments may be submitted directly to the commission or to Safety <br />Director Gundy. <br />President Boehmer announced that he will be unable to attend the next council <br />meeting on March 20th; President Pro Tem Babas will chair this meeting. <br />The agenda being completed and there being no further business, President Boehmer <br />adjourned the Council Meeting at 9:00 P.M. <br />~'~ ~~' <br />Florence E.
