Council Minutes of 3/6/90 <br />-4- <br />LEGISLATION: <br />Ordinance No. 90-8 introduced by Mr. O'Grady was given its third reading.. An <br />ordinance authorizing the sale of surplus property owned by the City of North <br />Olmsted and previously used by the Department of Public Service, and declaring <br />an emergency, as amended. Mr. O'Grady explained the amendment and moved for <br />adoption, second by Mr. Leonard, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 90-8 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 90-11 introduced by Mayor Boyle was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance adopting a new and revised Chapter 1309 of the Codified Ordinances, <br />entitled, "National Electric Code", and declaring an emergency. Mr. Tallon moved <br />for adoption, second by Mrs. Bahas, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 90-11 <br />adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 90-12 introduced by Councilmen O'Grady and McKay was given its <br />third reading. An ordinance amending the Traffic Control File of the City of <br />North Olmsted by providing for the installation of a "No Right Turn On Red" sign <br />at Lorain and Clague Roads to read, "No Right Turn On Red From 7:00 A.M. To <br />6:30 P.M.", and declaring an emergency. Mr. McKay moved for adoption, second by <br />Mr. O'Grady, unanimously approved. Ordinance No. 90-12 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 90-16 introduced by Mayor Boyle was given its second reading. A <br />resolution authorizing the Mayor to advertise for bids for the construction of <br />the North Olmsted Wastewater Treatment Plant I/A Modifications Project based upon <br />the plans, specifications and cost estimates prepared by URS consultants, and de- <br />claring an emergency. Mr. McKay moved for suspension of rule requiring three <br />readings, second by Mr. O'Grady, unanimously approved. Mr. McKay moved for adoption, <br />second by Mr. O'Grady, unanimously approved. Resolution No. 90-16 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 90-18 introduced by Mayor Boyle was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance to make appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures for <br />the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 1990. <br />Ordinance No. 90-21 introduced by Mr. Tallon was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the North Olmsted <br />Fire Fighters Local 1267 I.A.F.F., which agreement is the collective bargaining <br />agreement between the city and the North Olmsted Fire Department, and declaring <br />an emergency. Mr. Tallon moved for suspension of rule requiring three readings <br />as well as referral to committee, second by Mr. McKay. Roll call on motion: <br />Affirmative vote: Bahas, McKay, Nashar, O'Grady, Saringer, Tallon. Negative vote: <br />Leonard. 6 Aye - 1 Atay - Motion carried. Mr. Tallon moved for adoption, second <br />by Mr. McKay. Roll call on motion; Affirmative vote: Bahas, McKay, Nashar, <br />O'Grady, Saringer, Tallon. Negative vote: Leonard. 6 Aye - 1 Nay - Motion carried. <br />Ordinance No. 90-21 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 90-22 introduced by Mr. O'Grady was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance amending the Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted to in- <br />stall a stop sign. at the intersections of Pebblebrook and Walnut Lanes, and <br />declaring an emergency. Referred to Safety Committee. <br />Ordinance No. 90-23 introduced by Mr. McKay was given its first reading. An <br />ordinance amending the Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted by <br />providing for the installation of a "No Right Turn On Red" sign at Cedar Point <br />Road and Columbia Road to read "No Right Turn On Red From 6:30 A.M. to 8:00 A.M., <br />And From 4:30 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. - Weekdays Only", and declaring an emergency. <br />Referred to Safety Committee. <br /> <br />
