Council Minutes of 2/19/91 <br />e. Ordinance No. 91-33, an ordinance allowing the Police Department to <br />increase the cost of photographs requested by insurance ccx~aries aryd <br />other individuals. The Committee agreed the increase would bring these <br />costs up-to-date. <br />f. Ordinance No. 91-34, an ordinance allowing the Police Department to <br />increase the cost of reports requested by insurance cc~apanies and <br />individuals. The Committee a,gree~d this increase was also necessary to <br />pass along the added administrative costs. <br />g. Ordinance No. 91-35, an ordinance to make transfers and <br />appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures for the year <br />ending December 31, 1990. The Connutttee concurred this ordinance was <br />needed to correct the fund balances for the year. <br />2) The Conmittee also discussed the up-coming appropriations. <br />In the absence of Mr. O'Grady, Mr. Nashar reported for the Safety <br />Committee: 1) The Safety Comittee meeting was held on Monday, February <br />18. Present were Mayor Boyle; Directors Bohlmarui, Gundy, Wilamosky; <br />Fire Chief Osterhouse; Council Memmbers McKay, Saringer, Nashar. The <br />following ordinances were discussed: <br />a. Ordinance 91-3, which is on third reading tonight. This ordinance <br />increases the complement of the Fire Department to 33. <br />b. Ordinance 91-30, which pertains to the discharging of a firearm <br />within the City. The charge will be changes from a fourth degree <br />misdemeanor punishable by a $250 fine or imprisonment of 30 days to a <br />first degree misdemeanor punishable by a $1,000 fine or imprisonment of <br />6 months. <br />2) The Committee discussed increasing the complement of the Police <br />Department by three officers. Legislation for this will be forth- <br />coming. <br />3) Moved that Council approve the issuance of an F-2 liquor permit to <br />St. Brendan's Church for a St. Patrick's Day party to be held on March <br />16, 1991; second by Mrs. Saringer; passed unanimously. <br />Mr. Nashar, Chairman of the Streets and Drainage Committee, reported: <br />1) The Streets acid Drainage Co~nmi.ttee met on Mmday, February 20. <br />Present were Mayor Boyle; Directors Bohlm-arm, Gundy, Wilamosky; Council <br />Members McKay, Saringer, Nashar. L~gerxia items woere as follows: <br />a. Resolution 91-17, which authorizes advertising for bids for the <br />Phase B-1991 sanitary sewer improvements. This work will be done <br />throughout the city; the cost will be approximately $1,800,000. After <br />the sanitary sewer work is completed, repairs to the streets will begin. <br />b. Resolution 91-42, authorization for the completion of Sunset Oval. <br />Hopefully, work will be completed in 1991. <br />2) Residents from Stoneybrook Drive also attended the meeting to express <br />their concern about the stoma and sanitary sewer problem on their <br />street.
