MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTID <br />JANUARY 16, 1991 <br />Present: President Pro Tem Nashar, Council Members, Babas, McKay, <br />O'Grady, Saringer, Tallon. <br />Also Present: Mayor Edward Boyle, Finance Director James Burns, Acting <br />Clerk Barbara Seman. <br />Absent: Council President BoehQner, Council Member Leonard. <br />The special meeting of the Council was called to order by President Pro <br />Tem Nashar at 7:33 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, <br />North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />A letter from Clerk of Council Florence Campbell was read announcing her <br />resignation effective Friday, January 18, 1991. Mrs. Campbell is <br />reluctant to leave the service of Council, but feels her health will not <br />permit her to continue. She promises to keep in touch and to visit <br />Council. <br />On behalf of Council, Mr. Nashar expressed thanks for the super job done <br />by Mrs. Campbell. Although she will be missed by all, everyone looks <br />forward to frequent visits. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Ordinance No. 91-5 introduced by Mr. Tallon was given its second <br />reading. An ordinance establishing and fixing the compensation for the <br />Councilmen at Large Members of the Council of the City of North Olmsted <br />for the terns of office commencing January 1, 1992 and ending December <br />31, 1995, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 91-8 introduced by Mr. Nashar was given its second <br />reading. An ordinance authorizing and directing the Mayor of the City <br />of North Olmsted to enter into an agreement with Dalia Consultants to <br />provide engineering services for stormwater culvert and ditch <br />improvements on the Coe lateral, and declaring an emergency. Mr. Tallon <br />moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings; second by <br />Mrs. Saringer; passed unanimously. Mr. Tallon moved for adoption; <br />second by Mrs. Saringer; passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 91-8 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 91-10 introduced by Mayor Boyle arxi the entire Council <br />was given its second reading. A resolution authorizing the Director of <br />Public Service to advertise for bids for the construction of roadway <br />improvements to Country Club Boulevard, Victoria Lane and a portion of <br />Kennedy Ridge Road in the City of North Olmsted, and declaring an <br />emergency. <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />
