Special Council Minutes of 12/29/92 <br />LEGISLATION (continued) <br />Or 'Hance No. -1 9 introduced by Mayor Boyle was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance establishing and fixing the compensation for the President of Council of <br />the City of North Olmsted for the term of office commencing Jarn~ary 1, 1994 and <br />ending December 31, 1997, ar~d declaring an emergency. Mr. McKay moved for <br />adoption; second by Mrs. Bahas. Roll call: McKay, yes; Bahas, yes; Leonard, no; <br />Lind, yes; Musial, no; Nashar, yes; Saringer, yes. Motion passed with five <br />affirmative votes and two negative votes. Ordinance No. 92-179 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 92-180 introduced by Mayor Boyle was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance establishing and fixing the compensation-for the Ward Council Members of <br />the City of North Olmsted for the term of office ca~nmencing January 1, 1994 and <br />ending December 31, 1997, anti declaring an emergency. Mr. McKay moved for <br />adoption; second. by Mr. Lind. Roll call: McKay, yes; Lind, yes.; Beringer, yes; <br />Nashar, yes; Musial, no; Leonard, ~; Bahas, yes. Nation passed with five <br />affirmative votes and two negative votes. Ordinance No. 92-180 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 92-182 introduced by Mayor Boyle was given its second reading. A <br />resolution supporting Jump-Start America, and declaring an emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 92-183 introduced by Mr. Lind was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance to transfer and make appropriations for current expenses and other <br />expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 1992. <br />Ordinance No. 92-184 introduced by Mr. Lind was given its second reading. An <br />ordinance authorizing the Mayor and Finance Director to execute a $2,758,204 <br />promissory note payable to the Ohio Public Works Commission for the purpose of <br />Wastewater Treatment Plant rehabilitation. <br />Miscellaneous Business <br />Mayor Boyle state that it is the intention of the Administration that all non- <br />bargaining unit employees will contribute to the hospitalization plan. The <br />legislation that was passed covered only the next six months. However, there will <br />be further legislation to extend this time frame so that it is in line with the <br />bargaining unit contracts. <br />Mr. Leonard commented that he wanted to state publicly that in ~ way was he <br />criticizing the Mayor for what he is doing for this city. H,e does not feel that he <br />has criticized the Mayor, but he has criticized his method of presenting facts. He <br />feels the Mayor is doing a job to the best of his ability as the city is concerned; <br />and he is not criticizing any employees. <br />With the agenda being completed, President Boehmer adjourned the special meeting at <br />9:15 p.m. <br />Barbara L.
