Council Minutes of 9/15/92 <br /> <br />LEGISLATION (continued) <br />appurtenant acilities, constructing a toboggan slide, acquiring, developing and <br />improving the site therefor, and providing furnishings and equipment for such <br />recreation center and grounds; authorizing the optional redemption of those <br />outstanding bonds and execution of an escrow agreement; and declaring an <br />emergency. <br />Ordinance No. 92-127 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mrs. Beringer. <br />An ordinance to transfer arid. make appropriations for current expenses and other <br />expenditures for the City of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 1992. <br />Mrs. Beringer moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings; second <br />by Mr. McKay; motion passed unanu~usly. Mrs. Beringer moved for adoption; <br />second by Mr. McKay; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 92-127 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 92-128 was introduced ar~i placed on first reading by Mr. McKay. An <br />ordinance authorizing the Director of Public Safety to advertise for bids for <br />additional Motorola equipct~ent to up-date existing Motorola Centracom Beries II <br />Dispatch Console within the Police Department. <br />Resolution No. 92-129 was introduced and placed. on first reading by Mrs. <br />Beringer. A resolution supporting the Cuyahoga County Plarniing Comuission in <br />its application to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources for a grant to <br />establish a county-wide phone book recycling program. Mrs. Beringer moved for <br />suspension of the rules requiring three readings and committee review; second by <br />Mr. McKay; motion passed unani.~.~sly. Mrs. Beringer moved for adoption; second <br />by Mr. McKay; motion passed unanimously. Resolution No. 92-129 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 92-130 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mrs. <br />Beringer. A resolution supporting Women's Health Month. Mrs. Beringer moved for <br />suspension of the rules requiring three readings and committee review; second by <br />Mrs. Babas; motion passed ia~animously. Mrs. Beringer moved for adoption; second <br />by Mrs. Babas; motion passed l~nan;mously. Resolution No. 92-130 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 92-131 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. Nashar. <br />A resolution requesting the Cuyahoga County Engineer to proceed with the <br />improvement of Crocker-Stearns (CR-118) Extension and to include a six foot high <br />wood fence along the right-of-sway line to protect the residential property on <br />Hampton Drive and Quail Run, and resolving to pay for certain items and plan <br />changes. <br />Resolution No. 92-132 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mrs. <br />Beringer. A resolution urging the Senate of the State of Ohio to immediately act <br />upon the measure currently before the Senate, which was proposed in House Bill <br />294, unanimously adopted by the House, which legislation places a moratorium on <br />the construction of waste distillation plants, and declaring an emergency. Mrs. <br />Beringer moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and committee <br />review; second by Mr. McKay; motion passed unanimously.
