An <br />ordinance authorizing the Director of Public Service to make emergency repairs on <br />the natural gas lines at the Wastewater Treatment Plant, without public bidding, <br />and declaring an emergency. Mr. McKay moved for suspension of the rules requiring <br />three readings and committee review; second by Mr. Leonard; motion passed <br />unanimously. Mr. McKay moved for adoption; second by Mr. Leonard; motion passed <br />unanimously. Ordinance No. 92-123 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 92-124 was introduce~ti acid placed on first reading by Mrs. Beringer. <br />An ordinance to approve current replacement pages to the Codified Ordir~ces; to <br />adopt new matter; and declaring an urgency. Mrs. Beringer moved for suspension <br />of the rules requiring three readings; second by Mr. Lrxi; motion passed <br />unanimously. Mrs. Beringer moved for adoption; second by Mr. Lisyd; motion passed <br />unanimously. Ordinance No. 92-124 adopted. <br />Resolution No. 92-125 was introduced end placed on first reading by Mr. Lir~1• A <br />resolution accepting title to 3.38?50 acres of real property formerly used as the <br />recreational area of the Deerfield North Hc~eowners' Association, and authorizing <br />the Law Director to take whatever legal measures are appropriate and necessary to <br />quiet title to said real property in the name of the City of North Olmsted. Mr. <br />Boehmer assigned Resolution No. 92-125 to the Finance Committee. <br />Ordinance No. 92-126 was introduced and placed on first reading by Mr. McKay. An <br />ordinance authorizing and directing the Mayor of the City of North 0]msted to enter <br />into an agreement with Malcolm Pirnie, Inc. to provide engineering services for the <br />repair and replacement of the natural gas-lines at the Wastewater Treatment Plant, <br />and declaring an emergency. Mr. McKay moved for suspension of the Hales requiring <br />three readings and committee review; second by Mr. Lind; motion passed unanimously. <br />Mr. McKay moved for adoption; second by Mr. Lind; motion passed unanimously. <br />Ordinance No. 92-126 adopted. <br />Old Business <br />Mr. Leonard moved for reconsideration of Ordinance No. 92-69 which had been vetoed <br />by the Mayor; second by Mr. McKay; motion passed unanimously. The ordinance has <br />been amended by adding Subsection (b) which reads, "In no event, shall any person, <br />firm, co-partnership, association or corporation governed by Subseeti.on (a) hereof <br />charge a handicapped drive utilizing the services under Section 739.04 an amount in <br />excess of that charged by said gasoline service station for self-service dispensing <br />pumps." Mr. Leonard moved for adoption; second by Mr. McKay; motion passed <br />unanimously. Law Director Gareau advised Mr. Leonard to reconsider his motion to <br />adopt Ordinance No. 92-69 in order to suspend the rules requiring three readings. <br />Mr. Leonard agreed and moved to suspend the rules requiring three readings of <br />Ordinance No. 92-69, as amended; second by Mr. McKay; motion passed unanimously. <br />Mr. Leonard moved for adoption of Ordinance No. 92-69, as ; second by Mr. <br />McKay; motion passed unanimously Ordinance No. 92-69, as amended, was adopted. <br />Law Director Gareau advised that this action eliminated the need to override the <br />veto. <br /> <br />5 <br />
